I bought these to replace my 30+ year old magnetic cabinet latches and have more secure latches in case of earthquake. So far, it' been only 2 months and I'm feeling as if magnetic should have been my go to once more for the replacements. My experience so far pertains to this specific brand and model, who knows if others are better.The Bad1. There is not way to contact the manufacturer for claims on bad or broken parts.2. There are no instructions anywhere on how to install these. You might think that a simple screwdriver and desire will do the trick, but this is not the case. Instead you will need a drill and appropriate drill bit, some rulers, pencil markers and lots of patience. This is because the screws are made of a metal that does not even withstand the stress of you screwing them into pine wood. So you will need pilot holes made with your drill beforehand. It' a nightmare when the 3rd screw breaks and you have to remove it all to remove a broken screw of reposition it all again.- After 60 days of regular use, the cabinet with the most traffic, popped a ball bearing out from it's base and the latch lost holding capacity. It still holds, but I now have to replace the catch. This cabinet as used 5 to 8 times per day.The GoodDelivery was fast, and no parts were missing. It is oddly satisfying when you hear that clicking sound as a cabinet door closes and is grabbed by the latch. You'll be tempted to re-open it and close it over and over again.4 TIPS - for those who cannot return them:1. As they say, measure twice they do not go flush with the edges of the frame2. Make pilot holes first. If you cannot make pilot holes, use better screws or the old ones.3. Install the ball catch first. Once the ball catch is in place, use the screw tips facing outward to mark the position where the pilot holes need to be made for the latch, then darken with pencil. This ensures the right placement of both parts and avoids skewed doors.4. DO NOT adjust the screws to the ball bearings, they do not need adjustment

I used these on a new cabinet in my RV. Very hard to install. Cheap screws, two broke off in two different doors. That really sucked on my hand crafted cabinet doors. Lining them up to catch correctly is very hard.
