The Sell: The Secrets of Selling Anything to Anyone [Eklund, Fredrik, Littlefield, Bruce, Corcoran, Barbara] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Sell: The Secrets of Selling Anything to Anyone Review: I loved the book. Nothing quite like it. - Loved the book! The writing style is a breath of fresh air and it feels very human (and very Fredrik too). I picked up a lot of excellent habits of his from his diet to his work ethic and how to succeed in life by just being yourself. Not only that, he wants you to be the best form of yourself and is eager to help you how to achieve it. Fredrik is a one in a million character and person. If you watch MDLNY you will discover that Fredrik sometimes seem to be "acting", from being nice to being mad to being annoyed and makes this silly face, all in the name of closing the deal! This guy will do whatever it takes to win that commission. So when i read the book, i was surprised that he admitted those little acting! However, some skills for success was not mentioned in the book in order to be a top Real Estate broker. Fredrik is clearly very very smart and devious at the same time. He is quick to answer people's negative feedback, he is very sharp and is able to pinpoint the faulty logic in a buyer's argument when they are getting cold feet. All this is NOT taught in the book which lead me to believe that you must have been born with some natural tendencies of showmanship which comes out natural. I truly believe this is why Ryan Serhant will never be as successful as Fredrik. He is just missing that little bit of "X-Factor" which differentiates the Number One Real Estate Broker in NY from a Top Real Estate Broker in NY. Please read this book, be yourself but add a dose of Fredrik in order to be Number 1 in anything. Review: Even better than I expected ... - I found this book to be charming, upbeat, informative, with great ideas ... for life, as much as business. Although I'm a fan of Fredrik's via Twitter, Instagram, and Bravo TV, his book is more than I'd hoped it would be. It's the perfect gift for grads ... and for anyone ready to embrace their authentic selves. My only disappointment was with the photographs, which were small and a bit muddy ... Fredrik's book deserves photographs as special as his Instagram pics ... I loved that Mousey and Fritzy were included, as well as Derek. Next time (and I'm sure there will be a next time - happily), I hope he'll have glossy, full color pics. Did I like the book? Absolutely ... I'm ordering a second copy for my nephew - I need to keep my copy, for future reference! My favorite aspects were his self-effacing stories, his encouragement about treating oneself well, his embracing of competition and co-workers, and his sharing of life lessons for the good and the bad we all have in this life. Thanks, Fredrik ... for a rare and rich book, written from friend to friend.

Interesting read...but no secrets that I haven't heard before
Funny. Informative. General Knowledge. Good stories. This book by no means a how-to so don't think that after reading this, it will change your mind set and reinvent the wheel of selling. Fredrik has great insights and stories of how he got into the business and how he did his brand. Prospecting is how you find your next client, and he certainly can get that by his social media status and good personality. If you have good personality and you're active in social media maybe MAYBE, it can work for you. But for us in the business, word of mouth from previous client is still how stay relevant. Branding can only go so far, actual work ethic and client service & satisfaction still goes a long way.

High Kicks for this book!
I don't know Fredrick but I feel like I do after reading this book. I used to be an up and comer, go getting wall-street banker working at Goldman Sachs. I lost my way after business school and for the past two years just coasted in a mediocre job thinking about my past success, wishing I could go back in time. The Sell changed all that. There's one simple line that did it for me. "Call me an old man. But also call me a multi-millionaire." Sorry if that's not the exact line but it was something very similar. Fredrick made me remember that I'm not average and I need to stop doing things average people do. This book was my wake up call. Since reading it, I've been sleeping earlier, going to the gym in the mornings and hustling at night on my side projects. I've already started generating more income and this summer I'll be quitting my job to do other things that get me as excited as real estate does for Fredrick. I don't know if Fredrick will read this but if you do, thank you. Truly. I really needed this book. To everyone else, just buy the book. It's only $20 and honestly, you should learn from someone that is really successful, not just some person that calls themselves a self help coach or anything like that. Fredrick is the real deal. High kick

Fredrik Puts His Heart Into All His Work
And this book is no exception. I'm beginning to realize that everything Fredrik does, he does exceptionally well. While Bruce Littlefield obviously contributed much, there can be no doubt this is Fredrik's work. Unlike most books by people with some fame, where they are merely cashing in, here the author really puts his heart into his work. His true voice comes through. Fredrik gained great cred with me for being the genuine article. I like Josh Altman's book, but for the most part he mailed it in, letting his writer fill it with fluff. Even listening to Josh read it, you can tell many of the words are not his own. There's nothing like one's writing to showcase their intellect. Even is someone gets professional help with the process, if you know someone's voice, you can tell who wrote what. In Fredrik's book, his sophisticated intellect shines through. And so does his heart and soul. He taught me much. I really enjoyed the read and gained much respect for the author.

2 Chapters in - Iโm hooked!!!!!
Two (2) chapters in and I had to stop to write a review. This is the first book I have read [ever] where I feel like Iโm having a one and one conversation with a real person.... and I have read a LOT of self-help and sales books in my lifetime...A LOT. Iโm in sales so that sorta comes with the territory by default - as a great sales person I am constantly trying to improve and sharpen my skills to surpass my goals. Fredrik is a human genius. I have never cared to meet anyone in the public eye...even though I have rubbed shoulders with a few.....but if I had to pick one person on this planet to meet and pick his (genius) brain, it would be this guy here, Fredrik. I have been watching re-runs of MDLNY during the pandemic as a beacon of hope that our city will rebuild in all his glory - which is how I ended up ordering The Sell. Thank you Fredrik for reminding me that I am a Deliberate Creator. So far, reading your book has absolutely re-evoked the fire within me. I did get lost for a bit there as the pandemic unfolded, I have to say. But watching you on TV and so far reading this book has allowed me to experience a significant shift in my core energy. I recommend this book to anyone who is [or may be a bit lost] and is wanting to come back into your own power. Or someone who is just starting out and may be insecure or uncertain. So far I am hooked ๐๐พ๐๐พ P.S. I really do admire the authorโs Love Affair with New York, because I am EXACTLY the same way with a very similar orientation into this great city, so yeah..... :)

Although I love Fredrik on MDLN I was disappointed. He gives great advice for existing agents, but little help for a newbie.
Fredrik is great on the show Million Dollar Listing New York, and he gives some good advice, however, I felt as if he skipped over a lot. I admire his work and love his personality, but that doesn't help one to GET STARTED in real estate. I was hoping to hear how he made the jump from broke, knowing nobody, to getting a foothold in real estate. He glosses over that part with one short story with one client then moves on to his huge success. He relies quite a bit on social media, but how did he find the beginning customers to get the social media following? I am happy for his success, but really wish I knew MORE about his process at the BEGINNING of his career. In the are where I live, there is so much competition that finding the "way in" was what I was looking for. I have run into many people in real estate that have admitted that they have lost many friends because they were trying so hard to sell to their friends since they had no other options and that the competition is fierce. That's just bad business. I have been in sales for a while and being too pushy isn't the way to go. I am in an area with low inventory where homes often sell over asking within 24 hours of being listed. I also live in a very remote area and don't meet many people living so remotely, so was really looking forward to reading about how he got his foot in the door. When he mentioned that he knew no one when he started, that sparked my interest since I know few people having moved to this area recently...he does not explain how he got to know a lot of people and make the leap from zero to obtaining more than the one client who was standing outside of his office. He talks a lot about "being yourself", being charming and about social media. I agree with all three, but really wish he had given more advice about making the leap from zero to getting up and running. I admire his signature personality/way of doing things. Being charming and positive very are important, but I don't think that will help me get STARTED and over the initial hump in selling real estate if I have no clients or prospects to be charming TO. How do I find prospects in an area where I know very few people? I feel as if a crucial part of what I was looking for was omitted from his book. I think that this book is probably very helpful for those already in real estate with a basic following or client base, but not much help for someone wants to get started in RE.
