RAM Mounts (RAM-KNOB9HU) Hi-Torq Wrench for 2.25" Dia. D Size Ball Arms & Mounts

I purchased this to go with my ram mounts that hold my lowrance units. I have the extra long on the helm and the standard on the bow. They work great I haven't had to use this wrench until today, when I went airborne in the boat. The mounts moved a bit. So I grabbed this out of the storage compartment and crank down. I went back to the boat that left the wake causing me to launch like a rocket and tried it agin. Sure enough the second go around the mounts stay put. It works and with the splined handle it's easy to adjust. If you have to 2.25 in ram mounts and run in rough water buy this.

The Ram Mount for the from of my boat has some issues with the ball. It would take me all kinds of effort to somewhat tighten the clamp. It would still move and fall while running. The Ram Mount Torq Wrench has been the answer!!! Instead of buy another clamp for the mount, I ordered this item and tighten the mount down with no movement when finished. I love the adjustable handle.The con for this item is it will slip off while tightening if you are not careful resulting in a bumped knuckle or possilbe boat chip. A gasket inside of the lip would have been great but all in all, Great tool!

Because of temperature changes, vibration and being old and weak, I've always had some problem getting my three graphs secured tightly. This is especially true in the early morning hours during the Winter. This well designed tool will tighten the graph knob down to the point where I fear it will snap off. I can now tighten the graphs down, tow boat to lake and they won't move or fall during towing. I keep the tool in my boat and will reset the graphs to my liking and re-tighten them on the water. Works great for someone like me that has lost a lot of strength due to age and old wrist injuries.

Definitely nice to have to help tighten down the Ram Mounts for my fishfinders. Gives me peace of mind knowing they are locked in and secure.

I wasn’t sure I really needed this until I bought it and used it for the first time, now my graphs don’t move at all.

Cool tool

Really allows you to put some torque on the mount. Harder to loosen--harder for someone to remove it. I also use the RAM security kit to provide some additional piece of mind. Being able to adjust the position of the handle makes this this a 5-star tool!
