Do they enclose the ears or press against them? I can't tell how big they are.

With a center hole inside the padding of only about 1 & 3/4's inches around, these do not come close to enclosing my ears.

I just measured them & they're actually oval, not circular. Approx dimensions are 2.25 x 1.75, so they're more than 2" at the longest dimension. You could try them, but more than likely, won't fit. Perhaps Panasonic sells some?

Will these work well outside brisk walk or running with an iPod?

We only use these on a computer, so I'm not sure how they'll function with movement. I can see them maybe working on a brisk walk, but they might be shaky for a run.
