Musicians! This makes a perfect tambourine holster! :-D
I am the lead singer in two New York party bands, and during songs with extended non-singing parts I grab my trusty tambourine and shake it. The problem is when finished I drop it or set it somewhere, and then later in the set I find myself searching the stage for it. Where is my dang tambourine! I had been thinking to myself, "I wish I had some kind of hook or holster that I could just drop it into". Then one day while surfing Amazon, I saw this! <LIGHT BULB MOMENT!>Well, let me tell you it works perfectly for this very unintended purpose. I have used it onstage for several gigs and it's awesome! When I am done playing, I just drop it onto the hook and it hangs on my hip until I need it again. It even looks kinda cool! Who else has their very own tambourine belt hook? I am sure that the manufacture never thought their tool holder would be used this way, but I can tell you it's perfect for it. I have had several other musicians come up and ask where I got it, thinking it was some kind of official percussion device! To the manufacture: You should print up some alternate packaging and sell these to music stores! You could expand your market reach for next to nothing and reach a whole new audience.

easy to use and folds out of the way
I got tired of bending to put the drill down and picking it up again . Works great , especially on a ladder . You'll need a heavy leather belt cause the weight with the drill in it will pull down a fabric belt , as shown in the photo and digs into your hip . Tried the holster type , it was more work getting it in and out .

Better than Expected
Even once the item was in hand, I was still doubtful until I clipped it on my belt an hung a 18V Dewalt hammer drill. Made me wonder how I'd been working off ladders without this hook. It holds the driver close to hip until needed. Easy to grab and return the driver without looking. Keeps you focused on the project at hand without worrying about dropping a precariously balanced driver. The swing away feature prevents hooking everything and anything when not in use. Handy bit holder provides a quick spare for when the bit sticks to the screw head and goes pinging to the ground.

Ehhh... it’s ok
Ehh... this sorta does the job. Honestly, buy yourself the system with the clips and the corded balls vs. this. They are the Bigg Lugg belt tool...Pros: 1)simple design that can hold a lot of things... 2) Good constructionCons: 1) Hit of miss with things falling out. I would t trust this more than 3-4 feet off the ground with a drill...2)Tends to get you hooked on things when you pass and walk by items... 3) Not as versatile as I had hoped. It’s cheap, so it’ll work in a pinch, but i’d prefer something more secure.

really convenient
We have a mountain resort that has to be closed up for the winter. This means screwing shutters on windows and doors, some while standing on a ladder. Just carrying the cordless drill around always left my arm sore. Being able to easily drop the drill onto the hook made a world of difference. I also bought a magnetic wrist band to hold the screws. This combination made it much safer to climb a ladder and screw on a shutter. The only issue would be if your drill didn't have a bulge to catch on the hook. Mine has the big 18 volt battery on the bottom of the handle so works great. The hook also swings to the side when it's time for lunch, so I could still sit in a chair with arms.

Great
Best thing since I just got a new drill with out a belt clip. Makes installs and working above my head so easy. Wish it had a magnet on it for screws. But the ease of it and the hook swivels easily so I dont scratch my vertical or walls moving around the house and garage

Didn't expect much, was pleasntly suprised.
When I have my heavy battery on the impact it easily tilts backwards and falls out but a different brand might not have this issue and it works great with the small battery, it is also great at holding a roll of masking tape. : )
