Extend the growing season
I am always looking for ways to extend my season. Growing things outside is always better than in a grow room. These caps are working great on about 12 squash/pumpkins. It got to 31 last night and no issues. They are well made. We drilled some holes into them so that they can be anchored in the ground.

They are tall enough that plants like peppers, tomatoes and eggplant have room to grow ...
This are certainly a step up from using plastic milk cartons for plant protection. They are tall enough that plants like peppers, tomatoes and eggplant have room to grow under protection. The lip that goes around the bottom holds them in place by piling dirt up over it (in our Oklahoma wind I also put a brick on one side as extra hold). They are quick to put in place and the hole at the top allows air to circulate. The plants inside are protected from strong winds, frosts, animal and insect damage. And the cost is reasonable for thirty and they are reusable. Just what I needed this year with it taking so long to warm up.

Great to protect plants from frost
We had a late frost in May and it was a great thing I had these plant covers on hand-It took less than 10 mins to cover 21 tomato plants-6 squash plants-2 Basil plants.Plants made it fine through the frost. These nest and are good quality and should last years. Would buy again and recommend to all who garden.

Useful overall.
I like the idea of these; i bought them and don't regret it. I don't think they are that great for starting tomatoes earlier in the spring because tomatoes outgrow them within a week or two no matter how small you plant them. They do protect them from direct sun and wind allowing young plants to get established, however. They work better for peppers, eggplant, squash; those can stay covered for 3-4 weeks. I made holes in the bottom of 2 or 3 with a puncher, which wasn't easy or necessary: i used 24 of them last spring and none of them got blown away by pretty strong winds we get. They are held pretty well by soil. As far as protection from frost goes, i would not trust them if i think it can get down to 30F or below: the plastic is thin and there is that hole on top. If i think that it may get colder than 30 F i will throw a blanket or tarp on top. Overall i am glad i have them.

cost effective way to beat the weather
This purchase was cost-effective for us; we wanted to start some gardening efforts early this year, and knew the weather wouldn't cooperate. We put our tomato and pepper plants in the ground a month earlier than most, and used these covers on the nights that were going to be questionable. These covers worked perfectly - we never lost a plant - and we'll be harvesting a month earlier than usual.

Arrived Fine, Love
Arrived Fine, Love. These are large, sturdy, easy, less time to cover plants when needed. Much better than the covers that take 2 people a lot of time to do.

Worked for my tomatoes and squash
Just the cloches I needed. Was able to transplant tomatoes earlier than forecast weather allowed, started squash seeds under them. Some of the material is not of uniform thickness, so just have to use care while using or removing. Have stacked them away for next season. Plants did not need hardening when these were removed.

Great protection!
Just received and am pleased. Large enough for plants to get some height. Had something eating the tender shoots, and this is working. Will be very useful for the frosts sure to come.
