this lens is very sharp , I didn't like the autofocus that much , its not bad but i prefer always the manual focus , other than that its a great sharp lens

The auto-focus is disappointingly slow and noisy. For macro work that is not a problem because I generally use manual focus for that. Used on my Sony A7R2 the camera sometimes takes a picture even when not focused at all! Strange, that doesn't happen with any other AF lenses.The slow auto-focus becomes a nuisance when using the lens for 'normal' subjects. It is a very good macro lens and a decent lens for general photography too. That makes it a useful lens to have on your camera for a walk where you may want to capture scenery AND close-ups.It is a fairly heavy lens but for macro, especially, that is a good thing. It enables you to hand-hold with less camera shake. Image stabilisation can't work miracles, especially with macro. The attached photos of a damaged watch were hand-held in ordinary room lighting - auto ISO. 100% CROP 1 shows the damaged crystal and 100% CROP 2 shows oil on the hands. Neither can be seen with the naked eye.

Truly an art lens. I bought it to go with my A7iii and I don't regret it. However I've rated it only four stars because the AF is slow and hunts and is noisy. Debo decir para empezar que investigué mucho en la red antes de decidirme por este objetivo. Lo uso en una sony a7 (sin estabilizador) y obviamente habria preferido el sony 90mm, por mayor distancia focal, por su estabilizador y porque no se extiende al enfocar pero... cuesta justo el doble!Una vez descartado mi preferido, me fijé en este (no hay muchas más opciones pues el sigma 105 también es un 50℅ más caro y además un poco más pesado y también sin estabilizador, así que también quedó descartado.)El primer inconveniente para mi fue la distancia focal algo corta, pero en mi caso que es que cualquier objetivo que compre lo dejo fijo en la Cámara durante al menos 6 meses seguidos, a resultado que como objetivo "todo en uno" es muy util, vale para casi todo (retrato, street, macro de estudio..), así que cuando te haces a la distancia funciona muy bien.El segundo punto negativo, la falta de estabilización, no tiene solución, es decir si la necesitas por hacer mucha foto macro de mano, tendras que entender sus limitaciones.El tercer punto malo es que se extiende al enfocar, a mi no me afecta en absoluto, porque siempre tengo puesto el Parasol y éste cubre la totalidad de la extensión del barrilete.En cuanto al enfoque tiene sus claroscuros, para que enfoque bien tienes que elegir siempre la distancia correcta en el selector de tres posiciones. Si no lo haces no enfoca, si lo haces así, enfoca a una velocidad aceptable para mi (sobre todo como tele corto).En cuanto a la construcción, se ve muy robusto, se nota mucha calidad en los materiales, ni creo que sea peor en este aspecto al sony 90mm.En resumen, sabiendo sus limitaciones, es un objetivo fantástico, yo estoy muy contento con el. Espero haber sido de ayuda!

If you dont mind slow AF, the picture quality fantasticly good. Lens is made of very good qulity material as well.Last point, this is the second time I am having a second hand lens from Amazon. The box was opened and lens mount had scratches. Probably, Amazon sent me a returned item again. Anyways, I will keep it, I higly recommend.

🔨 Objektiv!!!! Ich hatte sie beide Testen können, Sony Makro 90mm F/2,8 u. Sigma 70mm F/2,8.Ich bin ein Hobby Fotograf..... fang mal mit dem Negativen an: der AF bei Sigma Objektiv, pumpt etwa 2-3 sec. hin und her bis er Scharfstellt (Nachstellung) und laut ist er auch noch.Sony Objektiv, ist zwar leise 🤫 aber AF ist genau so langsam vie bei Sigma.Positiv: Alles außer AF GeschwindigkeitDie Bilder von Sigma haben mich umgehauen, SCHARF und DETAILLIERT!!!! Als beim Sony.Sony Ob. ist doppelt so teuer 😉Bei Manuellen Einstellungen fand ich Bilder Tick Schärfe, bei Beiden.Mein Favorit ist der Sigma Objektiv!!!
