Amazing look and timekeeping!
I saved for a long time to get this watch and it’s amazing. It hasn’t lost a second in 2 weeks. The looks of the watch are also superb. I’ve had 5 other Rolex watches and a few Omegas, and this GS gmt is easily on par, and just as enjoyable to wear, if not more so. If you collect, you need one of these.

A lot of watch for the money
I bought a slightly different version of this watch from a shop near my home (see image). I normally don't write reviews on Amazon for products I don't buy on Amazon, however this will be an exception.A couple of things to note about this great watch:- It's good to 20 BAR (200M), so it can be used for diving- The hour, minute and GMT hands, as well as the 12, 3, 6, and 9 markers are all illuminated by LumiBrite- It's Spring Drive, so the movement of the second hand is the smoothest you'll see on an automatic watch - it's beautiful. If you like watches and watch tech, you need to see the sweep of the second hand. It'll blow your mind.- There is a quartz crystal (grown by Seiko) that helps to regulate the time - it's a complex setup, but suffice to say it's very accurate- It has a 72hr power reserve that is charged via movement or by unscrewing the crown and winding in a clockwise motion - you can see the power reserve indicator on the left side of the watch face - and when winding you can see that power reserve dial moveSo that's the nuts and bolts. What I like most about the watch is how it feels. The band is very comfortable and the watch is not heavy. I also really like the design of this watch. It's easy to read and VERY easy to set. Like many other watches I own, the screw down crown provides three settings:- Unscrewed only - wind the watch- First click, hour hand jumps between hours as each click is one hour of movement of the hour hand. This makes time zone changes very easy because you can go forward or backward with the hour hand movement. Going backward will reverse the date by a day, going forward changes the date forward. Brilliant and much easier than my Rolexes, Pateks, Omegas, etc etc (yeah I'm a watch dork)- Second click, set the minutes hand and GMTI've had this watch for about six months and I've been very happy with it thus far. While I have watches that are a lot more expensive, I find that I don't want to switch out anymore. This one stays on my wrist. If you're in the market for a very well made watch with great tech at a reasonable price, I highly recommend the Grand Seiko GMT.
