ALEKO WAW8X2MSTRGR58 Window Canopy Awning 8 x 2 Feet Multi-Stripe Green

As you can imagine, these won't be arriving in an eight foot box. The very heavy duty aluminum frame sections are threaded and screw together in two foot lengths. So to cover my 6 foot windows I just left out one frame section - that's the easy part! Next I had to cut out a strip of awning and then sew the two end pieces with the side return panels back together again, not a big deal cuz the fabric isn't very thick - but it IS durable and sun resistant. Just had to get UV and rot resistant thread to accomplish the task. FYI, they send these from the factory with a vertical seam in the middle of the material, so cutting out a strip and rejoining them ends up with the same minor shadow line when viewed from beneath, no biggie. Since I now have the thread I went ahead and added another stitch along side theirs just in case their thread isn't as high grade (I don't know, but after all this effort, I want a superior product). All of the exposed components are heavy grade aluminum so don't worry about that, the whole assembly should last for years. Of course adding a snow load is quite another thing but I never get any of that stuff. If this seems like a bit too much (modest) work just consider the alternative mentioned by others - over $500/window. After buying out Amazon's fulfillment center inventory I had to get my seventh awning on their site but now sold directly by Aleko and they don't ship for free. End of story - for less than $400 I've gotten over $3.5 K worth of nice looking awnings. Sweet!

It can be very sunny and intense sun at 9,200 feet, so these awnings are super. Gives us more privacy and keep the rooms cooler. We used rope & eye hook to fasten corner to wall so doesn't flop in wind. We can only use 4 months, but so far we love them. One picture shows you the corner piece that holds 2 together. We used super fine sandpaper to clean the inside to knock off the burrs so would screw in better. 1st unit took 4.5 hours; all of the others took 2 hours. We are happy with the purchase

Overall value is great. Assembly is reasonably easy. Delivery and Packaging are fine. The canvas sizing, quality, and sewing could be somewhat better. It looks alright though.

Great awning, somewhat easy to follow for directions.... However, they can't count. Missing 2 connectors and 2 head snaps

Finally installed this awning. Was easy to assemble after following instructions carefully. Took two persons. Installing it to exterior wall took 2 hours. Package came with long anchor screws and rope. It is manually retractable without a crank. But we like it down. We mounted ours low on purpose. It shades our door entryway very well. And it is also water repellent. We like it a lot. Just that if you look underside of the awning fabric, you can see the loose fabric threads. We hope this awning will last at least a few years. Looks great over our door and now the door feels cooler not get cooked by the summer hot sun!

Worked as advertised. Has a great look, easy to install and added bucks to the value of my house. Great price. The headline says 8 inches x 2 inches, but of course it was 2 x 8 feet. A perfect size to cover an outside door that was exposed to the weather. Thank you for a good product.

These are beautiful. Two men installed one in about 30 minutes, so they installed quickly and easily. I ordered three eight-foot awnings for the west side of my house, and even the neighbors have commented how pretty they are. I also got lucky that they match my green house perfectly. Also, the fabric is thin/light enough to allow light to come into the house without having direct sunlight hit the drapes and furniture. I'm very pleased with these awnings.

Would of been 5 stars but they put the cheapest, crappiest screws in the pack. Blount ends and strips so easily. I went and got American made screws and the awning is awesome
