2 years and still holding its own. I recommend
Worked great for my Odrive hoverbot robot I built, the odrive board is extremely sensitive to ground loops and emi. Odrives have there own 56v power source so my raspberry pi with its power source would make a ground loop, as long as you realize only certain baud rates work I get 19200 just fine, no matter the position of the dip switch it stays isolated but I can only pass data in the position that gives blue light, the green light no luck, I think it's for a different setup I'm using. I have since then purchased a couple of these and they can power an arduino but if you going to the trouble of isolating the signal why not use a seperate power supply, being isolated makes it safe depending on if your connecting to other devices. Thanks for listening to my rant, it's been 2 years since I started using these usb isolators and now I have finished my robot and working on version 2.0 this isolator has not failed nor dissapointed.

Simply doesn't work.
Did not eliminate hum from my various USB audio equipment.

Silenced my digital guitar pedals!
I have some Source Audio, Eventide, Digitech, and Boss guitar pedals that connect to the computer via USB to use an app to create, edit, and save presets.Whenever any of these pedals are connected to the computer, they add an obnoxious amount of nasty digital noise to the entire guitar signal chain. So I'm constantly plugging and unplugging the USB cables... I have to save the presets then disconnect all the USBs before I can record. It gets tiring, constantly reaching under the desk to put them in and out.I finally got one of these USB isolators and it actually works! Completely removes ALL the noise caused by the USB connection. It seems strange to be this excited about something like this, but it's gonna save me a lot of time and bending over, not to mention the DAW freezes up on the hourglass for about 30 seconds every time a USB MIDI device is connected or disconnected. So I'm gonna have to get 2 or 3 more. I have 6 pedals and an amp with USB connections, but only 4 available ports to keep any plugged in permanently.I wrapped the exposed circuit board with a piece of paper then electrical tape. These pedals don't need power from the USB, just data transfer. There doesn't seem to be any added latency between turning knobs on the pedals and seeing the knobs in the app move. Now I just wish there was something like this that could remove the noise coming from my pickups...

Perfect for isolating HAM Radio USB interfaces to prevent electrical noise and gremlins
The Teyleten is a small but mighty optoisolator board for blocking electrical connections between a computer and a peripheral while allowing data to pass both directions The peripheral must have its own power supply and not require power from the PC. In this respect, the Teyleten isolator board performs perfectly and no drivers are required. This board is ideal for HAM radios that have a USB interface as it will block the radio frequency RF power from crossing into the computer and making mischief. Likewise, it blocks stray digital noise from crossing into the radio. The board is supplied bare, so the only improvement would be to provide a plastic case however a bit of shrink wrap tubing will also do the job. There is a mystery switch on the board that I left in the off position labeled 1. I believe this has to do with USB compatibility, but the device functioned well enough without moving the switch. If you are connecting a device that needs faster communication like a scanner or camera, you might need to toggle the switch. In all, this is a great tool to have handy for cases when you suspect electrical inference is a problem, as cheap insurance against small power surges.

Did not work for isolating noise from my USB soundcard.
I bought this hoping to cut down on line noise from a USB sound card (PreSonus Audiobox). The Audiobox was unable to be seen by the pc after using this device. Might work for other device, but did not work for my use case.

Doesn't do what it says. Total garbage.
will work on my usb foot pedal, but that's about it. Does not work at all with my RTL dongles. The computer doesn't even seen them connected. Pity I was sick between the time I got these (Mar 5th) and when I was able to test them (May 6th) because I would have sent them back if I could. Total waste of money.

Works great
My computer mouse was causing some high pitched noises to come through my speakers. This device fixed that for me. I am completely satisfied

Don't really understand what this board isolates.
Unfortunately doesn't work for HAM radio. I don’t quite understand what this USB dongle isolates. As a result, when connected to my transceiver, it generates quite intense radio noise. Maybe it isolates from high voltage, but it certainly does not isolate the input from the output. Don't be confused.
