These taper candles were really bad quality. Very thin, so they don't fit a standard taper candle holder, they buckle when burning, and worst of all, they're just dyed - not coloured wax so when you touch them, your fingers turn black. Really terrible. Would not recommend at all.

Sadly these are a waste of money... Not a single candle in the box was straight. They had all partially melted and bent. The candles are not wide enough at the base to fit a standard taper candle holder. I tried three different candle holders. They didn't stand upright in a single one.I showed a picture of a cheap $1 candle from Walmart which fits standard candle holders and this one for comparison.

Do not buy. They’re more gray than black and are NOT standard diameter so I’m having to wrap pieces of waxed paper to get them to stand upright in my candle holders. Also, weirdly, they stink. They’re unscented so it’s the wax itself that stinks. Waste of money.

After a recent power outage, I bought this box of candles for emergency lighting. I think they are the right size to do that job. They appear to be well made, but they are candles, not expensive light bulbs. So don't expect them to last forever; maybe long enough to avoid falling down the stairs or tripping over the dog. And I'm sure they are cheaper than a trip to the emergency room.

Total waste of money! We used the candlesticks for our wedding and the burn times were all over the place. Most had a max burn time of 1 hour before they were nubs too small to safely burn.
