Intresting and Colorful Fun Science Book
This book is so beautifully illustrated. It's fun, interesting and looks great. I do think its a bit simplistic if used alone for a 5th grader. I pair it with Properties of Ecosystems (God's Design) for homeschooling. Along with carefully selected and monitored videos my child gets a well rounded Science class.I really like this book a lot. As I said, I think this is a great companion book for Science and as a stand alone book may work for some younger than 5th grade or those being introduced to Science for the first time.

Small section of Usborneโs Children Encyclopedia
Love Usborne but this exact book is an exact copy of part of the Childrenโs Encyclopedia.

Needed it for Kindergarten Science
Needed this for my daughter's science program. The graphics were nicely colored, everything written out in fairly simple language for a five year old. It helped her to understand what it means to "look things up" and provided visual aid with what she was studying.

Okay Book not as wonderful as I imagined it to be
The book has nice illustrations, but I was unimpressed with the content. I wish I would've borrowed this from a library instead of buying it. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Quality but an exact repeat of the Children's Encyclopaedia
While the Usborne quality runs firmly through this book it is extremely frustrating that there is nothing new in this book. It is simply a copy of about 25% (all sciencey type topics) from the The Usborne Children's Encyclopaedia. Same pictures, text and internet links. If you have encyclopaedia then DO NOT buy this. I would also advise that rather than buy this line of books buy the encyclopedia and get them all in one excellent book!

First encyclopedia of science
- Fast delivery, well packaged and arrived in perfect condition- Purchased this for my 8 year old son, unfortunately it was far too basic for him and he read through it in one day. This is nothing like an encyclopedia and I can't see how it can be called this with only 60 odd pages. The internet linked aspect does increase its depth though.- Would recommend for younger age groups, possibly 4-7 years old range depending on the childs development.

Bought it for grandson who is 7 for Christmas. He enjoys reading and love investigating so he will hopefully love this book. It is also very robust and at the same time attractive to look at.
