My daughter's music teacher recommended this book and it's just the right level for beginners. She's learning so much between her classes at school and private lessons with this book. Highly recommend!

My daughter's wind ensemble class required Standard of Excellence book for class. We decided to buy this enhanced edition because it came with the CDs and honestly was still less expensive than buying it at our local music store. My daughter said this book is easy to understand and that she likes having the CDs to listen to...it helps her hearing the timing of some of the pieces when she is practicing at home on her own. Her class only has music half the week so a lot of time she's working with this book on her own and it's been a great tool for her.

I learned to play the flute from these books 20+ years ago. I am teaching my youngest to play using this book and it she now almost finished and can play the basics quite well. I have now taken on another friend's kid as a student who will also learn using this book. As long as they practice, and with a little guidance, this book will teach them what they need to know to beging playing the flute.

This book is recommended by our school band teacher as beginner flute book and the songs inside are good choices. There are instruction pictures to guide students to prepare the flute, get ready to play, and how to take care of the flute. A handy flute finger chart is also included. The interesting part is the book comes with a license code which can be redeemed on website or in APP (both Android and iOS). Once redeemed, the APP offers more contents for the students such as music recordings and metronome. Overall it's a well prepared book and arrived brand new in good condition. If the price can be a little better then it'd be perfect.

What exactly I needed. And a little cheaper then the music stores in my area.

We had a hard time finding this book at the local music stores but it was the only book that her music instructor requested. I guess its pretty popular with the schools in my area to teach out of these books. It was nice to have it conveniently come through the mail. Thanks!

Brilliant!

This is for my grandson suggested by his music teacher. It is helping him a great deal simply because it is allowing him to see different pieces of music he will be able to play if he completes his exercises quickly.
