Fantastic beginner workbook. I knew nothing about playing the clarinet about 6 weeks ago but thanks to this book, I can now play beyond the beginner level. I need to add that after using this and its CD, I bought Book 2 which furthered my skills as a new clarinetist.My suggestion to make the most out of this book is to practice EVERY DAY especially since it's the summer. Also, strive to perfectly play each exercise with the CD. Honestly, this frustrated me several times because an exercise was challenging. But don't give up. What's the point in moving on to the next if you haven't mastered the building foundation? I can guarantee that as long as you focus on every exercise and consistently practice, you will be an impressive beginner in no time.

I actually needed this book in hand quickly with a late start to my kids' band so called local stores but none of them actually had the latest edition in stock. This enhanced book gives access code to the app so the kids can record themselves playing along with the accompaniment and hear how they do. For our family, it is a much better deal than the cd edition for the same price.

Love this book. The book came fast in a nice packaging. It's shiny and new but has a few edged corners here and there. It came with the CDs and everything too. My band uses this book in class and I would definitely recommend it for beginners and intermediate players.

After buying 3 books that were the wrong ones...i finally found the correct one my daughter needed. It came in great time, packaged great (it was delivered in the rain and there is 0 water damage) and if a good quality paper back. Will be ordering all of her books she needs from here.

Perfect for my beginning clarinet player. It has extra scales not found in her school music book. Excellent choice.

This is a good beginners book, I had to purchase this as my 7 year old had lost his, easy to follow

BREF : Je pense que cela est l'une des meilleures méthodes pour commencer à apprendre la technique de la clarinette. Le professeur de clarinette de ma petite sœur corrobore cela. Je le recommande vivement pour un élève qui veut débuter dans l'instrument. (Attention : Il est en anglais.) Néanmoins, je dois dire que les exercices sont plutôt pour des enfants et des adolescents ; pour les adultes ça sera probablement un petit peu bizarre de jouer « Old McDonald Had a Farm » et « Frère Jacques ». ;)PLUS D'INFO : Cette méthode traditionnelle vient d'être renouvelée pour cette version « ENHANCED ». Il faut faire attention à cela : la version ancienne ne venait pas avec des CDs. Cela étant dit, on a eu du mal à utiliser le logiciel iPAS qui vient avec cette méthode chez mon ordinateur avec Windows 10. Ce logiciel est décrit comme une aide qui vous accompagne et qui évalue vos pratiques. Je ne suis pas vraiment sûr comment cela fonctionne, car il n'a pas encore fonctionné chez nous. (Mais je dois dire que ma nouvelle installation de Windows 10 apporte tant de cauchemars que je suppose que s'est le système d'exploitation qui est responsable des problèmes avec ce logiciel iPAS.) Le deuxième CD est d'accompagnements pour jouer ensemble ; ce qui n'était pas non plus disponible dans la version ancienne. Cela fonctionne, évidemment, partout.Bon, le but de cette méthode est d'apprendre l'élève d'une façon amusante. Les méthodes pour les adultes commencent normalement pour des notes longues et puis des échelles, etc. Mais pour un enfant cela devient très ennuyeux très rapidement. Avec cette méthode vous avez déjà des petites pièces (dont plusieurs sont reconnaissables pour l'enfant) dès le début. Comme je l'ai déjà dit, ce qui est attirant pour les enfants pourrait ne pas être ainsi pour les adultes. Mais, vraiment, si vous achetez ce livre utilisé, vous pouvez l'essayer et vous saurez si cela vous plaît ou pas, car il vient très recommandé d'ailleurs ! (J'ai payé 4 euros en total, le livre et la livraison, donc pas mal.)Finalement, si vous voulez l'acheter d'occasion, je vous recommande très vivement l'acheter chez Greener Books. Cela n'a rien à voir avec le produit per se, mais je dois le remarquer : leur service a été très aimable et très considéré ! Ils se sont rassurés que le livre soit complètement parfait et que les CDs étaient inclus et puis ils ont expédié ma commande deux heures après que je l'ai passé car je leur avais dit que l'on avait besoin urgent de ce livre ! The book I received was quite worn. It was taped on the outside and a few of the pages were written on. But It was well worth the price. I knew it was used but didn't realize it was in this kind of condition.
