Delicate but cute furniture set
My six year old loves the detail on this set. Other doll furniture packs come with cartoony furnishings. We set the furniture up on a bookshelf and it takes up three shelves! My daughter loves turning on the lights, sounds and movement that make this more realistic play. I wouldn't buy this for a 2-4 year old; some of the parts are delicate. This is similar to Barbie brand furniture in style and quality, but Barbie's doesn't come in a fully furnished, one time purchase bundle like this. Opening the box and assembling the furniture was simple; we only consulted the instructions a few times. It requires 17 AA batteries, but you don't have to use a screwdriver to open all the battery doors, they just click open and shut. The food in the kitchen isn't stuck to the plates and can be rearranged. The tiny cutlery set comes individually wrapped and can be stored in the china hutch with each individual serving utensil, cup, plate, and bowl. The bathtub has a whirlpool feature that moves the water around. The set arrived in great condition. The colors used on these are exclusively white, pink and purple, but mostly white and pink. Some of the plastic parts have broken with play, but the electrical components have held up over the last year.

So glad I bought this!
This is an amazing collection of furniture!I got this for my 8 year old granddaughter. We opened the box together, and it was packed with smaller boxes, each with a new surprise inside. I think we missed one of the battery chambers because there was one battery left over from the 19 I had taken with me.I don't know how they thought of adding battery power to all the things they added it to. For instance, the canopy bed takes batteries - there's a nightlight in the headboard and it plays a lullabye. The fireplace lights up and emits a crackling sound. The washer and dryer spin and, although we didn't test it, the washer apparently takes water. The garden tub appears to have a bubble making motor and also accepts water, but we didn't test that either. What evoked the most laughter in the room was the toilet - FLUSHING SOUND!! The dining room table is drop-leaf, and they also included a tea cart with serving trays. For the laundry, there's an ironing board, hamper, and hangers. This is not just a housefull of furniture - there's dishes and food (both cooked to go on the little plates, and groceries for the fridge and cabinets) and decorations and just too much to list. There's even a chicken roasting in the oven (which, of course, has a light). I'm sure I should be mentioning other highlights, so please don't think that what I've commented on is all there is. This is a tremendous value and my granddaughter is absolutely thrilled with it! If this was a human-sized collection of furniture, it would make for a very comfortable home (except for the pink theme).

Awesome!
This set is awesome! Takes a lot of batteries, but so worth it, my daughter is going to freak on Christmas! The bed is slightly short for Barbies, no biggie, it plays music, which is more for a baby nursery. The fireplace sounds more like a train. You get food & dishes with this also, it's worth the money. Not a lot of decor on the furniture, but I like that. I don't understand the color wheel in the top of the china cabinet? Is there supposed to be batteries in this piece, mine doesn't. The only negative is I wish it came with a TV, kids nowadays don't hardly know what a ironing board is, they could have skipped that. There is no couch, which we don't need, have a set from Big Lots years ago. I would have loved to have this when I was a child!

Whole Lotta Furniture!
Wow! If you're looking to FILL a Barbie house this is the set for you. Lots of drawers that open and lights thatcome on and off...sounds...lots of little accessories too like food and dishes-even silverware. The only thingI would say it's missing is maybe a couch- it comes with only one living room chair, but my daughter has not noticed!! Too much else to look at and do. We have the Little Tikes Barbie house from the 90's and this setcompletely filled it. The corner style bath tub wouldn't fit so we put it up on the top deck of the house and use it as a hot tub. The fireplace wall panel is a nice touch too...the wall panel is bent slightly so it will standup better. The color scheme is a white base with purple and pink-THAT'S IT. Any other added colors are onstickers that have been applied to the furniture. The bed set is cute too-comes with a voile canopy and pillow andruffly blanket. Overall I was very pleased with this set. The Barbie brand furniture is expensive, a la carte, and I think a little too trinkety and wobbly. This set is not as glitzy as the other brands but still VERY girly. It takes 15, yes 15, AA batteries if you want everything to work... below is a list of everything included:Bathroom toilet and sink panelcorner bath/hot tubwasher/dryeriron board/laundry cartcanopy bed with beddingvanity with stool and wardrobe closet panelchina hutch with plexiglass door and shelves inside with silver dishes for displayfireplace wall panel with picture, clock and flowers for mantledining set with two chairs and side cartgrandfather clock and living room chairsink and dishwasher panel with lots of dishesfrig with lots of foodoven/stove panel with cupboards and turkey rotisserie in oven

Hours of fun
There is a lot of furniture here, so much that Santa's elves had to add another story to the Barbie house they made for my girls this year. Basically everything you need for hours of fun! My girls have not stopped playing with their house since Christmas. The one drawback is that some of the pieces are a bit flimsy, but considering the price, I am not surprised. It is still a good value because I would have paid twice as much for the "Barbie" brand, and I'm sure those pieces are made of the same plastic! Loads of accessories, like food, dishes, hangers, ironing board etc. make up for any failings.
