First time using this brand, because I was looking for a deal, but this was just a waste of money, as I had to throw the pencils away. The product stays hard and does not melt into a creamy texture no matter how warm, moist, and softened my nails are or how much I've tried to warm and moisturize the actual pencil tip. When I tried to apply it, it actually created those weird transparent discolorations under my nails that happen when your nails 'bruise' (I don't know what the actual term is, but when the product that barely showed up in the first place faded away, my nails were all still permanently 'bruised' and this 'bruising' had to grow out). Thought I was saving money, but I paid money to ruin my nails. I'll save myself the trouble next time and buy the more expensive nail pencil that works as advertised.

I work in the garden and tend to use my fingernails as small screw drivers.....sadly. Deadheading roses, picking weeds, etc., stains the underneath of my nails and this pencil perfectly covers the stain until the stain goes away (which can take a couple of weeks). The pencil is easy to use and it makes my nails look fresh, clean, and healthy-looking. My slightly yellow nail ends look white and great. I don't use gel or polish, and sport only a natural nail, so this product is essential in my kit. The pencils last a long time so I definitely get my money's worth out of them and in no way does the product affect the health of my nails. I'll buy again.

The white pencil material is too soft. It just breaks apart. However, I put it in the freezer and am able to make use of it. It holds together enough to get it under my fingernails. My previous pencil from another source had to be held under hot water to soften and use. I much prefer that style.

This product is difficult to use. The white tip crumbles easily when trying to color the back side of the nail, so then you have to resparpen and try again. Eventually, I did whiten the nail tips, but not by much. I will try a different product next time.

Love these pencils for nails to look white

I bought what was probably the original white pencil for this purpose (the casing was red) back at the mall (!) in high school (!). It didn't work well then and it still doesn't. It was difficult to apply evenly and then it looked like I had stuff stuck under my fingernails, which, technically I did. Even in places where I was able to apply it evenly it didn't make my nail tips look whiter. It wasn't particularly crumbly or easily broken, but I definitely will not buy again. Not sure if it's worth returning. Save your money.
