The best thing you can do for your feetI
I love these shoes and cannot recommend them enough. They are a very worthwhile investment. They are the first pair of barefoot shoes, and the first five-finger shoes, i have owned. Break in time was nil. They were comfortable from the start. Don't be scared of the thin sole; you can walk on all kinds of terrain with these comfortably.I used to have bunions on both feet (outward hypergrowth of the first metatarsal), which pushes your big toe inward, affecting your balance, causing you to walk on the outside edges of your feet, and can contribute to lower back pain as well. I had them corrected surgically and, in my opinion now since buying the Vibrams, I wish I had been wearing these since then. Or maybe if i had worn them before that, bunions wouldn't have developed. In any case, after wearing them now regularly for several months, I notice that each of my toes is stronger and can move independently of the others. If you don't wear wide toe-box shoes, you would be surprised how much this contributes to better balance and leg strength.Since buying these, i have also bought a pair of Altras zero drop, and I don't know if i will ever go back to non-wide toe box shoes. They are simply much better for walking, for balance, for unsquishing your toesies and allowing them back into a more normal position. It is the best thing you can do for yourself in terms of strength, posture, balance, and ultimately, comfort too. Also, if you like conversation starters, these shoes are it! People either used to have them but gave up on them, or want to know more about them. They are eye-catching :D.Additionally, they are also super-easy to pack; they don't take up any space at all. And yes, you can throw them in the wash.

Comfy, Runs True to Size
Awesome shoes, my favorite Five Fingers for pavement, the gym, and around the house. They have enough padding to let you wear them all day but are thin enough to still feel the ground. I found them to fit true to size, not large as the description states. My feet measure just a bit over 10.5 inches, maybe 10.75 after a long day (I measure 10D at the store, wear 10.5 in most shoes, and wear a 43 in both the V-Trail and Trek Ascent). I ordered a size smaller as the description suggested and they were too short. While they are very stretchy, the 42 was making some of my toes curl and the joints hurt after just a couple minutes of wearing them. I exchanged the 42 for a 43 and the 43 fits perfectly. Most of my toes still hit the end and the shoe doesn't move around at all when I run. If you have really short toes you might be able to size down (my third and fourth toes are a bit long and were the ones really being scrunched), but Vibram isn't recommending it, just Amazon for some reason.

I think I'm just unlucky.
So I actually bought 2 pairs of these. First I got a 9-9.5. And they were just a tad too long so when I ran my toes were not fully into the slots. There was about a finger width of room between my heel and the back of the shoe when my toes were fully forward. So I got an 8-8.5 and they are the perfect length, but they're too tight across the top of my foot to be truly comfortable. I still run in the shorter ones, but I can't where them for long enough to run long distances (3+miles). I kept the long pair for walking in. I really like the improved stability I'm experiencing with them compared to my Brooks Ghost shoes. They're a great shoe for crossfit style workouts, mobility and balance training, stretch routines including yoga. Would recommend, I just hope your feet aren't as oddly shaped as mine 😅.

Like many people have said before you have to order ...
Like many people have said before you have to order a size smaller than usual. Usually I wear 10.5 (44 in European) and I ordered these in 43. Those fit just fine. These are my first five finger shoes and it really changes your running style. I run now much more efficiently, smoother and actually faster. It's also a fun sensation to actually feel the ground with every step, but it never hurts my feet. The only negative is that I get blisters on my heal where the shoes have this little rig on top. My only solution is to place some flexible band aids there before every run. Hopefully my skin gets more used to the friction there and I won't need it much longer. Other than that those are the best running shoes I ever had by far, especially because it radically altered my running style for the better. Oh, and my knees don't hurt anymore.

These were great. I had a heel spur
It fit OK. I wasn't sure whether to return this and get a larger size, but the larger size was 40 dollars more, so I kept these. They fit exactly right. I ran the first time in them yesterday. I did 5K in about half the time I usually do. Not because I was running faster. It's just that I started running instead of jogging. Regular sneakers throw my form out. These were great. I had a heel spur, and these aggravated it.I have a bad knee and these aggravated it. They have no padding. It's like running barefoot. It mostly protects you from rocks, but I carefully watch the ground where I'm going, because rocks hurt. It let's you run in natural form. I wear orthotics in my sneakers, and obviously I didn't wear them in these. I felt great, and will try to adapt to them. Someone wrote not to run on the pavement , rather on the grass. I found running on the pavementOK, but running on the side of the road with the sand and rocks hurt a little from the rocks. The pavement seemed fine. But as I said, there is no shock absorption. And as I was able to run faster than usual, I overdid it at the end. I'll heal and try them some more. Love Them.

Lack of padding in the heals
Disappointed in the lack of padding on the heals. I’ve worn to the gym three times and my heals are all cut up to the point where I’m not sure I can wear them. My other pair I bought last year had padding so I assumed these would as well, but they don’t. Disappointed!
