Fist off, this is not a negative review at all, just sharing my stupidity with potential buyers. These band are great quality and are very strong. The pouches are very stiff however and need to be worked in significantly before you shoot. How do I know you ask? Look at the picture. I’ve shot slingshots for all my life and have never hit myself. I think a combination of a cold day and not breaking in the pouch contributed to this strike. I was shooting .38 cal steel balls. I think what happened was the pouch was so stiff that I couldn’t grip it properly and when I released, the shot slipped out a bit and went off course, hitting my finger. After reeling in pain for a few minutes I took the band off and worked the pouch until it was soft. I then tried it again. No issues at all. Actually these are very nice shooting and very strong. Just learn from my mistake and break in the pouches until they are soft and supple. So anyway, hope this helps! Again, I really like these bands and will probably buy more in the future. Cheers!

I needed heavier bands to shoot 1/2 clay shot since the 1mm bands I was using before this purchase, just weren't cut for the job. Also, the 1mm bands would rip near the pouch after a week of daily use and maybe 20 or 30 shots. These were the thickest around at 1.5mm. My first band ripped after a week due to a fork hit where shrapnel shredded the band. It was a new band and had to get used to it. My second band has been going strong for a month and a little over 1000 shots. One band did come lose from the pouch today but it was easy to refasten. Though, all I had at the moment was a common large rubber band. May replace it again with a proper fastener if it comes loose again. Haven't had one handslap so far.

They are good quality but - the pouch could be a little smaller and the rubber a bit longer. I will still use them but I have to get used to them. Not exactly what I expected.

These bands are great. They hold up well and pack a punch compared to most bands. My previous ones were to easy to pull back and had less power to them, these bands are tough to pull back but are very strong
