Bright, good contrast, good color
Negative: I wish I had bought the 27". Positive: This is a great monitor for not a lot of money. I have had HP monitors at work for 18 years, but this is better and costs much less. The only thing I don't like is all the connections on the back where I can't see what I'm doing. The most common ones could be put on the bottom or side of the screen and I would be much happier.

Excellent...
I'm using this 27" 2K monitor for photo post processing- very pleased with the overall image quality and definition; my only small knock is the location of the buttons to adjust the On Screen menu are located on the backside- it's not too difficult to adjust to this but feels initially awkward to manipulate, but it certainly does work.

Failed in the first couple of weeks...
UPDATE 11-8-22 I received a refurbished VP2768a via the RMA process. ViewSonic's policy only replaces with a new unit if the failure is reported within the first 30-days of purchase. After receiving the monitor, I was delayed in getting the new VP2768a installed due to issues I had with my existing monitor arms not being able to support the weight of 2 VP2768's. The random colored lines started appearing within the first 1-2 weeks of usage. So after purchasing ViewSonic's “ColorPro Professional Monitors”, I have learned the hard way, that they don't stand behind their "Professional" monitors with a professional warranty. I will look to other brands for my next monitor purchase. The ViewSonic customer service reps were very responsive and courteous throughout the return process, its ViewSonics's product warranty that is lacking. Original review: Super disappointed with the ViewSonic brand. Purchased a new VP2768a, part of the ViewSonic “ColorPro Professional Monitors” lineup, and within week or two I started seeing colored lines across the screen. They quickly started filling up the screen to the point the monitor was not useable. ViewSonic issued an RMA and I’ve just shipped the monitor and all the accessories back to their Chino California facility. It will take up to 5-days to reach their facility and the customer service rep said it could take 7-10 days to repair or replace the unit. The thought of getting a repaired unit to replace brand-new monitor is very upsetting. This is my second VP2768 series monitor and likely my last. I will update my review with the outcome of the customer service experience. Not what I expected from ViewSonic’s “Professional Monitors” product line.

Great monitor with color accuracy you can trust... But there's a caveat.
I'm an artist/web designer who does photography as a hobby, and I'm pretty anal about color accuracy, which is why I bought this monitor. It's definitely the best monitor I've ever owned, however, ViewSonic seems to be having a problem with their USB-C ports. The display on the first one I bought would randomly cut out, and cut back on again, and when I would plug anything into any other USB port, it would go berzerk, cutting the screen off and on in rapid succession. I don't have another computer to plug this monitor into, but I tried different USB cables, which didn't make a difference. I ran a diagnostic on the USB C port on my laptop, and it reported no problems, and I plugged my old monitor into the USB-C port with a USB-C to HDMI cable, and it worked fine, so the problem wasn't with the computer. I contacted ViewSonic customer service, and they were very responsive and helpful. They agreed that the USB-C port on the monitor was probably faulty and encouraged me to return it for an exchange. I didn't want to be without a monitor while I was waiting for all the shipping to take place, so I ordered another monitor from Amazon and returned the defective one when the new one arrived. The second monitor worked great at first, and didn't seem to be afflicted with a bum USB port, but by the second week, it started flaking out, just like the first one. I didn't want to exchange it for yet another monitor, and hope THAT one doesn't have a bad USB, so I have it connected via USB-C to HDMI, and I've had no trouble at all since. Unfortunately, that prohibits me from using the monitor as a USB hub, but I have plenty of those. Apart from that one connectivity flaw, it's a fantastic monitor, and the stand that comes with it is one of the swankiest I've ever seen. Their customer service is great too.

Horrible color calibration - different results on Windows vs. Mac
The VP2768a-4K is advertised as having excellent color calibration. I bought a pair of these for photo editing and am sorely disappointed. First, the two monitors are not calibrated the same as the color and brightness on the two was not even close to each other. I had to manually adjust each monitor to get their colors relatively close to each other. Second, when I edit photos on Windows and get the colors just right and then view on MacOS using the SAME two monitors, the colors are not even close to each other. The colors using MacOS is significantly more red/yellow. I set all the computers and monitors to use sRGB. That didn't help. In fact, it got worse. I get that there will be slight color variations between platforms, but this is crazy and has created significantly more work for me. I also have an issue with the built in KVM when going back and forth between Windows and Mac. Windows is connected via HDMI. Mac is connected via USB-C. When switching back and forth, the Mac often doesn't show any output. When I try to bring up the menu on the monitor using the right side buttons, no menu displays. The monitor seems to be hung, and I have to power cycle it. I've bought ViewSonic monitors for years. These may well be my last ones.
