Great pour over! Love this!
We are getting away from drinking and eating from plastic. We have a Bialetti pour over we love, but it’s plastic. This item (Large) is almost exactly the same size, including the HOLE as the Bialetti. See my photos. Not sure what the first review was complaining about. This is not like a gold coffee filter with a sealed bottom or like some of the other pour overs that resemble a gold coffee filter. You need a hole or it will overflow. I use standard size, paper basket coffee filters, as seen in the photo. They never break. I found that the cone style filters separate and leach coffee grounds into your cup. This item sits nicely on a large mug (shown) or a standard smaller coffee mug. There is a lip to keep it from sliding off of your cup, as the seller shows in their photo. The hole size is also shown, so no surprises! There are lots of photos from every angle supplied by the seller. The brushed stainless steel is substantial feeling. The handle is riveted on in 2 spots, is secure, comfortable, and does NOT get hot. This pour over is beautiful! I was so very happy with this that I immediately ordered two more. One for the RV (sorry old plastic Bialetti) and one for my son in law. He is a Pacific NW, USA coffee lover, like my husband. I don’t mind waiting a month for the longer shipping. It was well worth it! The first one was perfect. We use it everyday. It is also packaged very nicely, in a gift type box. It arrived (2weeks) before the promised date, but you can’t count on the mail. I am a real person that was NOT compensated for my review. I live in Dover, DE USA. Enjoy your new stainless steel pour over!

Great price for a v60 style dripper
As a cheapskate I didn't really want to play 3x the price for a glorified funnel or settle with a plastic device. This Chinese v60 imitator has not failed me in the brews I've done with it. I've used all kind of filters with success including a folded melitta #4 and basket filter. The thin metal construction easily beats plastic for health, glass for durability, and porcelain for heat retention. Really happy to replace my plastic autodrip with this pour over dripper.I can even see myself using this as funnel for dry goods like spices, beans or kibble. After all, stainless steel is very easy to clean and doesn't absorb odors. Not sure if I'll actually do that but it's possible.Notes on dimensions not shown in pictures:Bottom hole 1 inchinner retention ring on the bottom 2 inch

High quality construction, one minor fault
Heavy guage stainless steel, nothing flimsy about this filter holder. Won't seep toxic plastic compounds into your coffee, and won't chip or shatter if dropped onto or bumped into a hard surface. The downside is that there is only one hole for the coffee to drain through, and it's fairly large, so you must be careful not to pour directly into the center, lest you blow out the bottom of the paper filter. I wish the manufacturer had put a heavy-gauge screen over that hole, or some sort of perforated disc. Not a major issue, considering the other options (plastic or ceramic), just something to keep in mind when pouring.

Too small for No. 2 filter
I like the stainless steel, but filter hangs over the top at least an inch. Round funnel and oval filter do not match up. Would not recommend.

Better than the ceramic and plastic versions
I also own the clear plastic Hario and the ceramic Kajava Mama versions. This to me is the better version. I've had mine for a month and it significantly surpasses the ceramic which was my prior favorite. The advantage is it heats up quickly and holds the heat well for the duration of the brew. The larger drain hole has not been an issue for me with any of the 3 different paper filters that I tried (fast Cafec T-90, Hario V60 to the slow Kajava V02). I simply adjust my grind size to get a 3-4 minute brew.

Well Made but too small for me
The filter holder is well made but too small for what I use it for which is to fill two yeti mugs every day. The small size only allows for a number 2 filter (#4 works best) which makes it drip extremely slowly. The large hole doesn’t make it drip faster as i was hoping. Since it only cost 15 bucks I will probably just recycle it. Sad.

very nice
one big hole is uncommon, but working nicely. I like stainless steel.

Makes great coffee
I just started using my stainless steel Merloo Yipan pour-over coffee maker/cone and it is just what I wanted after breaking my expensive glass Hario V60. I use #4 Melitta natural filters by folding them parallel with the seam about 1 inch from the edge which keeps the same taper and allows the filter to fit right into the large Mermoo Yilan cone. I use my normal technique of wetting the grounds with hot water first followed by a couple of additions of hot water. This cone works just as it should and is very durable and stable. Yes, the hole is pretty large at 13/16". (The bottom hole is a little larger than a Hario V60's.) The taste of the coffee is excellent. Sometimes when I drink coffee from certain stainless cups I get an unpleasant taste, but not with this.
