Before opening the container I used a knife to poke holes in the top seal and didn’t have any problems with powder exploding everywhere.I use this as a facial mask and teeth whitenerLadies, please do not use Elmer Glue when making a peel off mask I personally would never use something on my face that was meant for school projects etc etc…Please go to your local store and purchase a peel off mask of your choice and mix that with your charcoal powder using a plastic spoon or whatever (do not use metal utensils) leave mask on until it completely dries then peel it off.Using this as a toothpaste go to your local store and buy a small container squeeze your toothpaste of choice in the small jar add charcoal powder and mix well now you have charcoal toothpaste.Keep in mind a little charcoal goes a long way!

I bought this activated charcoal powder specifically to make my own natural toothpaste, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. The powder is super fine and blends really well with the other ingredients I use, like coconut oil and baking soda. It doesn’t have any weird smell or grit, and a little goes a long way. I also appreciate that it’s food grade and derived from hardwood, makes me feel better about using it in something I’m putting in my mouth.

I appreciate that this charcoal powder is sourced from natural coconut shells and doesn't contain any nasty additives. It's reassuring to know that I'm using something pure and safe.

I’m not sure what happened, but when I opened this after receiving it today, it blew up. I lost about half the product in the explosion and it made a terrible mess. The pop was like a firecracker and stunned me for a second haha. I know activated charcoal is fine powder, and I know it works, so the three stars are for how good it is. I can’t give those last two though, because I loathe half the product just unscrewing the lid. I think it being screwed on was holding the pressure in and all it took was a quarter turn then, BOOM! Mess. But good stuff overall. The mason jar in the pic was what I was going to use as a secondary container.
