From where this watch made? is it authentic?

Hello. I am not sure where the watch was manufactured. It was eventually given away as a gift so I have no means of checking. As for authenticity, I am pretty sure it is.

How do you remove the battery? I've been trying to remove the back cap but it feels like it's glued.
