Q: Can someone tell me whether it is still been made in France? Can the manufacturer responde to this question as I want to place an order immediately?

I believe it is. It works pretty well but if you want impeccable build quality I'd go for the Paderno from Italy (the larger one).

Q: Does this have different disks to change out on the bottom for different thickness of milling?

It has 3 different sized discs. I use it for mashed potatoes, separating tomatoe pulp for the skin and seeds, pureeing other cooked veggies from their skins and I am still experimenting. Best one I have owned for it's strength and ease of use.

Q: Does this have hooks to attach to the container catching the juice?

I don’t think so but I didn’t need them. I didn’t have any problem with balancing it on the container - it may have 3 curved hooks? - I just can’t remember and am out of town so I can’t check. I do love this foodmill. It is large which is great.

Q: Can i use this to make baby food like pureed carrots, apple, peas, etc?

I haven't tried, but I don't see how you could get the right consistency for baby food. It's good for juice or a as shedder.
