IN 2019 Star Wars Battlefront 2 (EA) is NOT the game it once was at launch. And it MAY be finally the time to pick up this game, or re purchase it, and for the price offered here on Amazon.AU at 5$ brand new? It is a win/ win. (I own the PS4 Pro console of Battlefront 2 but I am a big Maul fan and he wasn't featured on my cover so for 5 bucks, I thought, hey, why not?) After a such a rocky and heinous launch with the Microtranstions that saw not just the Star Wars and gaming fans but governments from around the world stand up and take notice; Battlefront 2 may of seem doomed to never recover. However in the ensuing months that followed a progression system build from scratch (or reworked from an earlier build, which I will get to in a moment) as the previous system was the most horrendous and anti player I have ever seen. Thankfully you are now rewarded and progress the class or hero you play as, a system mentioned at E3 in 2017 by Lead Designer Dennis Brannvall where he said: if you play as Maul you will level up Maul so somewhere from E3 to launch in November 2017 EA had DICE change their game to suit a MSX system. Almost 18 months after the original launch, while to begin with there was a dearth of new content as the skeleton crew left behind was totally dedicated to the progression system rebuild, however from October 2018 we have seen a huge influx of content, 4 new heroes in General Grievous, Obi-wan Kenobi, Count Dooku and lastly the Chosen One Himself; Anakin Skywalker. All unique and amazing to use. We revived Geonosis as a large scale map for Galatic Assault and then most recently an entire NEW game mode in Capital Supremacy that works as a ground force of Conquest of taking points that then transitions to Capital Ships where the attackers need to take out points to win the objective. Defenders can push back the attackers that then takes the battle back to the surface for another round. A who new map of Geonosis and in late April a second map was added to the new mode a reworked beach head on Kashyyyk. The single player is not much to write on about, predictable and utterly forgettable but the multi-player is an absolute blast, pun, to play. Dennis recently announced that the game is as big now as it was in its first month of release, and that is a HUGE thing for a game this long out from release and with such a horrendous launch. With devs returning to the game in November 2017 after BFV's release and with the promise of more content to come there has never been a better time to play Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Game is okay, not as good as some other similar games. Worked perfectly.
