The Sophia Wall Mounted Cat Tree in White

Our cat likes to watch outside at ground level from a basement window. She uses our wall shelves to jump up, but was just jumping straight down, scratching the wall in the process.We decided to try this cat shelf as a step for her, so she can use it on her way down. She immediately took to it, and also likes to hang out in the alcove.Product arrived as advertised. All parts were in the box. No warping or other issues that other commenters have mentioned. The included brackets work great for drywall.

The shelves themselves are built nicely and are sturdy. The problem lies in the items they provide to hang the shelves. The shelf is too heavy to sit on top of the small flimsy brackets. Further, the spacing between the two brackets is just short of the standard beam spacing of a home, making it impossible to drill this into two studs. This caused major issues since my cats are 12lbs and 15lbs and were able to easily rip these off the wall upon jumping on them.Hanging them therefore required major creative adjustments in order to accomodate, making this a lot ugglier lookwise. I also wish both shelves had the whole in the shelf. My cats don't stay out of that space anyway and causes them to maneuver more and not fit as comfortably.This would be good for smaller cats, and if they made it about 2 inches longer to accomodate placing this on both wall studs.

As soon as I open the package the item was yellowish and with stains.

I just bought this for my cat (~10 lbs). While it looks good, be warned that you need to just go out and buy your own hardware. What is provided is too shallow for the walls and the shelves can pretty easily rip out. Also be prepared to drill your own holes in the unit, the L-bracket will not match with the pre-drilled holes.Honestly, if I had not had a friend who was good with building things (corrected all the mistakes from the product and bought new dry wall anchors), then I would have returned this.The cat has yet to take a liking to it, but I'm sure he will warm up to it eventually.

My cats absolutely love these shelves, and I love the way they look in my living room. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is they're a little flimsy--my 13 pound cat always makes them creak and sag a little when he jumps up on them. My two 8 pounders don't have that problem, but I thought they shouldn't have that issue with a few more pounds either. Otherwise, I highly recommend them!

Cats love these!! Place them well and they will get a lot of activity. I just wish both of them had the side opening.

Have had it mounted on my wall for a month now overy bed andy cat absolutely loves it. Love that it's modern and just has two soft pads for them to sit on.

I installed these cat perches in my family room and they look great! I received this wonderful product as a gift for Christmas and since then, my cat spends a lot of time up there looking out over all the activity in the room. I had no problem assembling them and attaching them to the wall. They hold my cat perfectly. I'm so happy to have this product and I will definitely be getting the Catbox next!

Really happy with this product. It looks great and is well built. It's hard to get better quality products online these days so I was happy to see that it was not super flimsy and cheaply made. I bought this to put in my kitchen so my cat would stop jumping on the kitchen island. After feeding him on it for a few days, he now loves it! Not only does it keep his food away from the dog, but it gives him a place to hang out with us in the kitchen. Definitely recommend.
