Koa Collection Trout Series 12.5 by 17-Inch Dog Collar, Medium, Brown Trout

My 75-lb dog has gone through about two collars per year for the past five years. We run, camp, and swim, so it's understandable that they get dirty. However, it's expensive to replace all of these collars the look so nasty after just a few months. I've tried so many different types of collars until finding this one. This is great! After many months, it still looks brand new. The coating on the collar protects it from moisture, grime, and stinky-ness, but it's still very comfortable for my dog. It does not seem to rub, and she doesn't itch beneath it like previous collars. I feel that I can trust the quality of the collar itself, as she's a heavy dog and the collar gets some weight pulled against it when we run. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality, durability, and fun color.

These are the best dog collars I have ever purchased! The fish designs are awesome, bright and clever, but most of all the collars are coated in some sort of tough, durable medical-grade silicone-type substance which keeps the collar clean and free of ground-in dirt or smell. I have had one of the collars on my dog for about a year now and all it needs every once in a while is a wipe with a wet paper towel and its as good as new. This dog's favorite past time is rolling in the mud, so I have definitely gotten my money's worth. Some of the other reviews complained about being too long or not having enough holes to adjust - just trim it and/or poke a new hole in it!! I did both to get the right fit and I encountered no problems and the collar is still 100% intact. If you are unsure of size, go with the larger one and you can always down-size it.

Excellent quality collar. This collar has held up very well over the few months I've had it. Color has stayed true and not faded. The hardware/buckle is very durable. Wears nicely and does not get tangled or caught in hair and she seems comfortable with it on. It's perfect for the trails or the dog park where other collars have gotten very dirty/muddy/slobbery and are a pain to clean. My only complaint would be that I got this while my puppy was still growing and even though I measured her neck and went with the smaller collar (knowing I may need to purchase a larger one if I liked it), there was plenty of left over collar hanging out the buckle. I didn't want to cut off the excess because she was still growing and I was worried that it would start peeling the waterproof coating away, but it was awkward on her neck. I didn't have a silicone watch band holder that fit the thickness of the collar, so I ended up using a rubber hair tie and that worked until her neck got a little thicker and went a few loops down on the collar.

Bought this collar because we are a water family and I love the Mahi pattern. The colors really pop off our black lab. The material is great because it still looks brand new after several months of a puppy breaking it in. I purchased the medium and he had to grow into it. He chewed on the extra length a few times just because he could reach it. But even the little damage he did to it hasn't effected the built-in fabric pattern. The metal hardware is good quality. It hasn't lost any platting and is solid and sturdy. Will probably have to buy another size up soon. I highly recommend and already got another family member to order one, in different pattern, for her dog.

Love this color. Holds up really well, stays clean. Great look for my "water dog" lab. Durable I would purchase another.

The media could not be loaded.  We live in rural Idaho on a ranch and we do a lot of outdoor activities especially at the nearby lake. These are my absolute favorite collars to get my dogs! They last YEARS and never get gross or smell bad. A must have for dog owners

I just got it in the mail, it’s a super nice collar! Very well made and the hardware seems extremely durable. My only complaint is that it is far more purple than hot pink, which sucks because I got her a hot pink tag to match.. It is a little bit stiff, but I’m sure it will get broken in and be very comfy! It is a beautiful collar and I’m sure it will hold up a long time even with constant lake use!I wish that it had a small hole on the metal d-ring to attach tags, it is really hard to get the tags onto the thick metal d-ring.

This is by far the best dog collar I've ever used for a pet in my entire life. As you can see I'm on my second but the first one was bought over three years ago and as you can see from the use of each and every hole, I bought it for my dog before it would even fit him and he used it throughout the first three years of his life and trust me, he used it. He is a professional deer tracking dog and stays in the water as much as he can. The buckles on the three-year-old collar are in just as good shape they were the day I bought it and the only thing that has changed with the collar is normal wear and tear after 3 years of hard use natural color fade and the waterproofing coat just started to wear off a few weeks ago. There is no other dog collar out there that can compete with the quality of this one that is as durable waterproof and is put through as much tarnage as my dog puts his through on a regular basis. If it weren't for how great of a quality this collar was I would probably have only given for stars but because it is such a great collar I gave five. And I don't write many reviews. The only thing that I would ask is for an extra large size this large barely fits around my dog's neck on the last setting and I almost need to make my own hole. The shipping was also a bit slow but again with the quality of this specific caller it deserves more than 5 stars.**edit: the large I got last time was definitely a half inch bigger at least where the holes were than the first. It was too tight even on the last hole sovichad to cut a new hole about an inch further down. Would love an extra large version... and hope adding the hole doesn't create water moisture into the collar**

Fits a touch big but looks so good, it doesn’t matter. The end of the band hasn’t curled or frayed.Heavier than most collars but not nearly as heavy as a water logged smelly collar.Dirt and grass just slip off, the only thing that sticks a bit is sand which easily comes off.Great buy for anyone with a dog who likes to roll, dig and swim.

The quality, durability and look of this collar is fantastic. It was a bit too long for my dog, but I was able to easily trim it with no issues or fraying. My dog has gotten many complements on it. I'm very happy with this purchase!
