The 110V Unit is sold in UAE??? (FIXED)
Edited: the Seller has replaced the unit for 220V almost immediately, after few days only, with FedEx. This is the best way to correct small mistakes which can happen to anyone. Very positively impressed with the professional attitude. Good job.—————Be careful, the Unit is designed for the market of USA - 110V! At the same time AmScope offer 2 versions - for American and for International markets. Why the Seller is selling the 110V in UAE, the Country with 220-240V, without providing any remarks and warnings? Very unprofessional and extremely frustrating...

Excellent Microscope
I bought this microscope for my wife for Christmas. She's a bio-chemistry student and she wanted to spend more time practicing her lab work. I especially like the CCD camera. The camera is easy to setup and use. The camera software is nice, and I'm a professional software critic (I design and build software for a living). I wish the instruction booklet was thicker and included more details, but the manufacturer must assume that this item is normally purchased by professionals who already know how to use this device. Fortunately for me, my wife knows the details of using a real microscope. If you're planning to buy this microscope as a hobby, I would recommend getting a book on how to operate a high-end microscope. I also purchased a pre-prepared slide kit of 100 slides. I would recommend this to any hobbyist as practice to get used to the microscope (and it's a lot of fun to look at skin cells, mosquitoes and other items without knowing how to prepare a slide). One other note, this microscope does not come with slides! It's a lot like buying a radio controlled car without batteries.

disappointing
I was never able to use this item. the camera never hooked to it it was not functional .. it made its way to a box in my garage .. I Purchased it a while back and never could reach the company to make it right .

Well built
I've used this with some sample slides briefly. I hooked everything to my computer and took photosof various cells and such. Its not a $2000 scope like the tout, but it is well worth the money for what you get.

Absolutely mind blowing quality
I bought this microscope as a gift and we were both amazed at the quality craftsmanship. This is truly a professional quality instrument. I feel like I won the lottery because it is very obviously worth so much more than they are asking for these microscopes.It came packaged securely in custom cut styrofoam so all the optics pieces, camera element, and accessories were safe from damage during shipping. It included a dustcover too which is very handy.
