Hasbro Transformers Generations Selects Leader Shockwave

This guy's an overall great rendition of Shockwave. The color scheme of this particular version is a reference to the old Radioshack release of the original toy, which was given the name 'Galactic man' or 'Astro Magnum'. Though he's supposed to turn into a 'space ship', the design is actually very similar to his original toy's handgun form (flipping the toy upside down in alt mode looks pretty similar to the old design), so he's as close as you'll get to a modern release of his old '85 toy. If that's not your thing, he comes with a bunch of extra bits that flesh out the alt mode and make it look more spaceship-y, a bit like a mini SDF Macross-style ship.On the note of those extra bits: they can be used on both his alt mode (as stated above) and his robot mode to give him extra limbs and make him a bit taller, which really looks awesome. they can also be combined into a mini hovercraft that he can 'surf' on. I've heard some gripes about the additional armor gimmick, but they're unfounded; Shockwave in canon is a mad scientist known for his crazy experiments, and inventing a hoverboard that turns into a set of power armor that boosts his offensive capabilities seems perfectly in-character for him. Given that the bits offer a lot of play value for him (5mm pegs for the blast effects from the rest of the Siege line, ports that allow for different configurations and allow Weaponizers and the new Fossilizers from Kingdom to slot into, etc), I'd say it's well worth it. He's an all around good toy, and the color scheme on this specific version of him is both a neat little homage and just looks totally awesome on him.

Even though I missed out on the original siege release, this repaint looks great, and the red eye with dark gray body makes it look arguably more sinister

Overall I'm very pleased with the product. It looks very accurate for the shows. The color isn't what I expected because it's a variant version but still I'm very happy with what I paid for it. The articulation is very nice and overall the fit of the transformation is good.

This a great way to get really great figure with a great color scheme ,one minor problem with my copy is that in the drone mode the side guns are too lose and I'm yet to effective method but overall great
