As a licensed contractor with 15+ years of experience, I highly recommend this Moen assembly. Moderate-Hard install, but finish is amazing.

Nice but not perfect
Faucet is nice but I don't like the hand held shower head - it too big and scratches easily. I'll replace it with KOHLER K-72776-BN, I have it in the shower and I like its design.Here's a note about the valve set for this faucet:I initially ordered the Moen 9796 valve set which is brazed together for faucet holes 5" on center. I then bought the Moen 9792 adjustable valve set because my tub faucet holes were 6" on center. The 1/2" copper tube connections were the same length as the 9796 faucet set - 1" shorting then I needed. It would have been helpful if Moen used longer connection tubes that could be cut down to length or did not braze one end, so it could easily be replaced with a longer length.I replaced the polished chrome hose that comes with the Moen 9796 Roman Tub with Shower Diverter because it did not match the Moen T944BN brushed nickel faucet set. The finish and quality of this hose is very good: "100% Metal Shower Hose For Hand Held Shower Heads | Extra Long 72 Inch Cord Made With Commercial Grade 304 Stainless Steel | Universal Replacement Part For Handheld Showerhead Hoses, Brushed Nickel"Some review say the hose come with the faucet - in this case that is incorrect it comes with the valve set (hopefully you don't care if the only option is polished chrome ; )

Great, but not perfect
There were very few options in this style of tub faucet, deck mount with shower. This was a replacement on an existing tub and the style we wanted in our bath. The faucet and required valve were quite pricey compared to other items we purchased in our bath remodel, but we had very limited choice in this area. The color is a bit yellowed compared to other brushes chrome items in the room so it doesn’t completely match, but we expected that from previous reviews. It works well, but the pull on the back of the faucet to switch the hand shower on and off is stiff and the shower continues to drip for a long time after it’s turned off. The hose for the shower is nice and long, but heavy metal and a bit difficult at times to thread back into the hole. The flow rate is good for filling a large tub. Not perfect, but overall what we expected. Hoping to have long lasting quality from the price and known brand.

Moen products are missing parts and also have defective parts
I would not buy another Moen product if they were the last plumbing supplier on earth! First, upon installation by our plumber, it was discovered that a part was missing. Called Moen and after waiting on hold an hour, the only choice was to have them call back. The call back would happen in TWO WEEKS. So, we ordered the missing part for $75 from Moen and when Moen finally called back after two weeks, they refused to refund anything on the order. Later, when the plumber installed the faucet, there was a defective part that the spray wand attaches to. Because we want to move back into that part of the house, we ordered yet another part, this time for $65 instead of dealing with the non-existent Customer Service. Moen is TERRIBLE! If you order one of these faucets, maybe you'll be luckier than we were.

Really love the whole set. I was disappointed that the hose for the hand piece was not brushed nickel as the rest of the set is.

Sleek & stylish!
Love this and works very well- we had to replace 20+ year old brass trim that had corroded and this matches the dated ivory tub and helps it look slightly more updated. Had it professionally installed due to age of pipes and tub tiles that needed to be sawed into. Worth it! Again, amazon customer service responded to my request to put a rush on it so it arrived in time for contractor. The shower spray works well for sitting in tub- doesn’t splash everywhere but definitely lower pressure than a stand up shower (which I prefer for tub showers).
