very useful for a small laptop, to make typing easier
I have an Asus Zenbook ultrabook. It is my travel PC, but I use it at home a lot. I usually keep it on a table. When I saw a lightning deal for Laptop Legs, I thought they would be good for raising the keyboard to a bit of an angle for easier typing. Also, even though my PC does not run that hot, having it raised for better cooling seemed like a good idea. Laptop Legs have really worked out well for me. The slight angled raise of the keyboard makes typing much easier when it's on a table. When I put it on my lap or need to put it in my pack, I just fold the legs. Having these attached to the laptop makes using them very convenient. I personally always use the higher setup, but having more than 1 to choose from is a nice option. I really like these. After 11 months of use, one of the legs broke. I contacted customer service and within a day, Alan, the COO, replied. He said the warranty was actually 6 months, but as a courtesy, he'd send a replacement. I got it a few days later. That is good customer service. I paid less than 20 with free shipping (Prime) and the replacement came free. So, 5 stars for these guys. I really find the product useful. On a side note, should anyone want or need to remove one or both, as I did, here is a tip (which Alan suggested). Gently pry at the sticker part with an old plastic credit card or similar. I found that scraping at it bit by bit removed the unit and most of the sticky stuff. Then, a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol removed the rest, leaving the bottom of the PC clean and ready for the new one. Took less than 5 minutes.

Wish I had ordered these sooner
I got these for my Dell Inspiron N5040, which is a 15.6 HD widescreen, if that gives you some idea of its size. I've used my laptop on ... well, on top of my lap, like the name implies, so I know its bottom can get kinda warm. On the assumption that it gets equally warm when used on the table top, I decided these legs might help the heat dissipate and perhaps allow the laptop to live a longer life. These legs definitely let the air circulate better under the laptop and help get the heat out. And since I'm one of those people who like to have my keyboard at a little more of a angle from the horizontal, I've found that to be a nice bonus. I usually use the higher set of legs, and for a 2-fingers-and-a-thumb typist, albeit a pretty fast one, the elevation is just what I want and makes it easier for me to type fast while avoiding mistakes. YMMV. I noticed that one of the reviewers mentioned his legs came off after a couple of months. I anticipate that this might happen sometime down the road, but if/when it does, I intend to get a small roll of the foam double-sided tape that the hardware stores sell for $2-3, and use it to reattach the legs. That would be a simple and inexpensive fix, and it would allow me to continue using these legs that I have grown to rely on. And it may not even happen, because I was careful to pick a mounting location that was mostly flat and smooth, then use a razor blade knife to trim off a couple of small plastic protrusions before attaching the legs. What else can I say? These legs work perfectly for me, I'm glad that I ordered them, and I wish I had ordered them sooner. For me, they're definitely worth the price.

Perfect but over priced I'm my opinion
Perfect but over priced I'm my opinion! I didn't know if this would work because the entire back half of my laptop is ribbed and slotted for heat venting since it's a gaming laptop. It's a 15.7" Lenova Legion Y520. I measured and taped the legs where I wanted them first to make certain there was no wobble. Then I affixed them in place (peel & stick). Have been using them daily for over a month and they have held perfectly! They don't actually lock into place but I have never had an issue with them folding on me while in use. You actually have 3 levels of height. Completely closed gives you a very slight incline, then you have the middle and outer flip out inserts for greater angles. I typically use outer for the greatest height. I would have given these 5 stars except they are over priced in my opinion. Although a cleaver and functional accessory, they should definitely be sold for under $10 and even less but not at the current $16 price! I think they would sell more if they lowered the price. Other than that I would highly recommend them! These are something the laptop manufacturers should build into their laptops. Thanks - Jerry

Honestly, a bit overpriced. But excellent
So, $16.95 for a pair of folding, stick-on feet. I know.. Stupid;ly high for some injection-molded plastic. Bit I put them on the Lenovo T580 at work and they made a HUGE difference. Lenovo wants these computers to be as small as they can be. But that means they are flat to the working surface. That is not at all user-friendly. I have been putting various items like boxes and masking tape spools under it. But those are not stable. So I got a set of these and tried them. Yep - that did it. Rock solid and 2 position. I like the highest incline, but I could make it lower just by using a different flip-out stand. I have the same laptop at home. Guess what I just bought? Yup. Another set of these. I read the reviews saying they don't stay stuck. Maybe true. So I bought some extra double-sided super strong 3M foam tape - just in case. So far I haven't needed it. Yeah, they are pricey for what they are. But despite that I bought them again. They are a nice product that solves a real problem with laptops. And they fold down when not in use so that your laptop is (nearly) the same as without. The feet are a little thicker than stock and your laptop will always have a slight tilt. Also in my case the machine tends to want to lean back when I open it wide without the feet flipped out,That doesn't matter in real life though.

Need Stronger Glue
This product works well, but the glue comes unstuck when the laptop has been in use for any period of time. Also, I think they would work better with 2 pairs affixed to the laptop. I put the set I purchased on the rear of my laptop and while the majority of the laptop feels nice and cool the front few inches are still warm - with an extra set more air could circulate. The feet are a simple solution to the overheating problem, but the slipping and sliding created by the provided adhesive is an annoyance, to say the least. I have peeled off the original adhesive and am trying double-stick tape. Overall, this is a worthwhile product.

Will not last!
Laptop legs worked AMAZING...at first. The glue is nice and strong. It lowered my laptop temperatures by almost 10 degrees Celsius while gaming. However, the leg broke off not even a month after purchase. I am a very careful person with my electronics. Only one month's use is unacceptable.

Glue melted due to laptop being hot
The glue on the legs melted and they fell off. The product is destroyed and my laptop has goop all over the bottom. I have a gaming laptop which gets hot (an HP Omen 15), so I bought these legs to help the laptop stay cool. I knew I was in trouble when the product arrived and the instructions described easy removal if I use a blowdryer to warm the legs back up to make the adhesive soft. Sure enough, 10 minutes into using the laptop the adhesive melted, the legs fell off, and I now have a goopy mess on the bottom of my laptop. The product is destroyed and Amazon thankfully refunded me, though I had to spend 30 minutes on chat (I've had good amazon-service experiences before, but this was definitely not one of them) and then ship this sticky mess back in a box. I do not recommend this product if you have a laptop that gets hot.

Unique Product That Works Perfectly
I just ordered my 3rd set of these handy little devils because I just bought a new laptop. I will NEVER own a laptop without these and have been a happy user for over 7 years now! Something so simple and inexpensive that adds years of life to your computer. By just extending the legs to the lowest setting, it makes my laptop run much cooler and puts my keyboard at a much more comfortable typing angle. Also keep in mind, by heating up the double sided tape with a hair dryer, you can take them off very easily and re-attach them without any lose of 'stickiness' to the tape...so if you have to stick them over your battery door area, no worries, just take them off and put them back on as needed! They include directions on how to do this in the documentation provided.
