I bought this because I’ve officially been banned from the local garden centre for crimes against horticulture. If you can kill a fern tree, this LEGO Bonsai is your path to redemption. The Build & Experience Frog-pocalypse. The "Cherry Blossom" version is actually made of 101 tiny pink LEGO frogs. It is both brilliant and deeply unsettling. I spent an hour assembling a literal frog-tree. 10/10 for creativity. Dual Seasons: It comes with two full sets of leaves (Green and Pink). Swapping them takes about 5 minutes, allowing you to "change seasons" whenever you remember what month it is. Structural Integrity: The "wooden" stand is built from LEGO bricks but looks surprisingly high-end. It doesn't look like a toy from a distance, it looks like a piece of home décor. Pros & ConsPros: Never wilts, zero watering required, and it’s a great conversation starter ("Is that a frog?"). Cons: The "pot" is filled with loose LEGO "pebbles" (1x1 round tiles). If you knock this off your desk, you will be finding plastic gravel until the year 2030. Verdict Perfect for adults who want a Zen vibe without the responsibility of a living organism. It’s sturdy, fits perfectly on a bookshelf, and is the only plant I’ve ever owned that hasn't turned brown and crispy within a week.

Brilliant lego set. Looks great on display. Fun building experience, doesn't take too long but also feels like a good process and rewarding when completed. I chose to do the pink leaves which looked great but using green looks good too. No negatives with this set. Good value.

I built it the day it arrived and it’s even better than I expected. The maple bonsai tree looks amazing, the red and amber leaves look really striking and is a good piece to have on the shelf. Lego have done a great job genuinely capturing the vibes of a real Japanese maple bonsai. The build itself was super chill and satisfying. I’d say it took me about an hour to put together. There’s just enough detail to keep it interesting without being frustrating, and the finished model feels really solid and elegant. Definitely not a build for young children and I would say a suitable age range would be 13+. All the parts were there and even had a few extra parts. If you’re into LEGO, decorative builds, or plant style models, this is such a fun set. It’s a bit of a relaxing project and ends up as a really cool display piece. Definitely worth the money and a 5 star rating.

Took a long break from LEGO (this was my first build since my pre-teens), and what a lovely way to return! This was such a pleasant build, made only better by the stunning end product. I've always been one who despises (strong I know, but it's true) fake plants of any kind; I simply never saw the point -- until I came across LEGO botanicals. The attention to detail is great, the colours, the build quality, the fun of putting it together yourself... it's all great. Yes, it's pricey -- when hasn't LEGO been pricey though? Plus, you can always buy it on offer like I did -- go for Used Like New, it's guaranteed to be unopened!

Cute Lego piece - fun building them - not too many pieces thankfully so no missing or lost pieces. Most of the pieces are the 'gravel', which is just poured into the pot. Looks great amongst real plants or as a collection with the rest of the lego sets. Its nice that you can choose to either have pink or green leaves.

I bought the Lego Bonsai Tree for a 20-year-old family member for Christmas. She was delighted, as she’s had Lego flower kits before and enjoys building them and decorating her room with them. It’s a a lovely gift to give to an adult Lego fan as I can be confident of the quality and I know she'll find it fun to put together. It was well worth the offer price of £33.99.

This lego set is beautiful , the colours are very pretty and I love how the subtle changes in colour add to the affect. It was a little fiddly in places, but nothing too difficult. Great set and now on display .
