Good quality, SLOW to ship.
A few months back I bought a similar strap (width & thickness is the same, brown instead of black) from this company to build a rifle sling. That strap was really nice leather. Thick, strong, and beautiful on the face side. I have no doubts this strap will be the same way. It stamped and finished well. Yes, I could buy a sling for the cost of this strap that includes swivels, but doing it this way I get to make it exactly the way I want it to be made - and make it to fit right.My only gripe, and only in a world where we're spoiled by fast free shipping, was that this seller took an entire business week to ship the strap, as in over seven days total to slip it in a bag and send it off. Then another week for it to arrive in Montana.

Thick strong leather, but "ugly".
If you are looking for soft and supple leather, this is not it! This leather is very thick, strong, and has a semi-finished appearance. The top coat is a little rough for anything but casual use. I purchased this for use in a costume scenario and I'm not happy with the appearance; but I can't afford the alternatives so I have to live with it. For casual use, you can't beat the quality and strength for the price. However if aesthetics are most important, look to the higher priced options. If you set your expectations correctly, then this won't disappoint.

GREAT PRODUCT.
I DO SANTA CLAUS EVERY YEAR FOR MY WIFE AT HER COMMUNITY CENTER SO I WANTED A REAL SANTA BELT IT IS 70 INCHES LONG 4 INCHES WIDE AND A 1/4 THICK LOOKS GREAT CAME RIGHT ON TIME GOOD LEATHER IM VERY HAPPY WITH IT.

Not the right length as advertised
It’s heavy leather but it says 72 inches in length in the description and the piece I got was just over 61 inches. Do not recommend
