Bought this gift for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. Great quality, the sponge on the handle makes it easy to grip but u still need a gym gloves to protect hands. Easy to put to together. There’s 3 different part to hold to work different areas of the body and helps with body fitness.

Overall, this is a very solidly built pullup bar, and you won't find a better setup for the price. The assembly instructions are a lacking somewhat as the print is small, and makes it hard to figure out which bolt goes where. However, if you go through and assemble everything "finger tight" it's fairly easy to swap things around if needed. The provided wrenches are what you would expect in anything you have to assemble yourself. Save yourself some frustration, and use a ratchet and end wrench to get everything torqued down. The foam grips are of decent construction, but after a lot of hard use, I can see them being replaced with athletic tape. The back pad, and arm pads are sufficient, but again with lots of hard use, they will likely require some repair. Overall, it's exactly what you need for a price that won't break the bank. The only thing that is not great, is how the system is mounted on the wall itself. The lag screws provided are sturdy, and will hold the bar (and user) to the wall, but I still worried that the weight of the bar (plus me) would eventually cause the supports to fail. The buffers on the bar are heavy duty and don't have a lot of give. They rest against your wall, and will push into the wallboard leaving dents, and if the buffers are not resting on sheetrock backed by a stud, they can push all the way through the wall. In order to address my concerns, I cut two 2x6x8 pressure treated deck boards in half and used lag screws to secure three of the boards crosswise across the wall studs. Using a little bit of trial and error I was able to attach the provided support hooks to the cross beams so that the weight was distributed across the studs and the buffers rested on the cross beams, not the sheetrock. I also took the advice of one of the other reviews and installed a 4x4 foot square piece of plywood to the wall to ensure that the back swing (or forward swing if you're using assistance bands) doesn't push my feet through the drywall. It may be a little more work, but I would rather take the time to install some wood, than to patch drywall. Overall, I spent about 40 dollars at the Big Orange Home Store to get the parts that I needed and spent about 90 minutes total assembling the bar and installing the supports. I am very happy with the end result, and have been using the bar with no issues at all.

This thing is awesome! I'm 6' and have always had issues with door mounted pull up bars, I've never been able to do a true hanging pull up and never dead hang. I was able to mount this just tall enough I can touch it with my finger tips and when I wrap my hands it pulls my feet off the floor! I never had any issues with installation, The reviews talking about the lag bolts had me thinking they must not have pre drilled the holes like you're supposed to. I also didn't install the lag bolts with a drill I used a ratchet . They went in fine and tightened well. I've used it multiple times already and am in love

Received the product on time, had it mounted the same day. Did 4 sets of wide-grip pull-ups, 8,5,5,5 respectively. I'm 6' tall, weigh 180 Lbs., and will be 65 years old in two months. My goal = a single set of 20 dead-drop reps within a year. Did 17 at the base gym about 6 months ago, but have reduced gym workouts so much, that 12-reps is a struggle. Having my own bar should help a great deal. Contrary to many reviews, the included hardware worked fine and appears more than adequate. The lag bolts torqued up fine with pre-drilled holes, mounted through 1/2" sheet rock into 16" on-center wall studs in the garage. I used all 6 of the lag bolts supplied, testing with two, then four, and finally felt 6 was necessary for stability/safety. The single-piece, wide-grip/tight-grip bar, that mounts parallel to the wall is a much appreciated improvement over the others that previously/currently use a two-piece bar requiring two extra bolts. The diameter of the grips are comfortable, not too narrow nor wide to get a good hold of. The soft, black, foam padding on all grip areas is suitably thick resulting in a comfortable grip, and was not damaged in shipping. The fit and finish of all metal pieces is excellent, mirror black, smooth, no burrs or scratches. Why only four stars? The cross bar, for wide gripping, tends to twist, move, a little with a rigorous pull up. As another review pointed out, the bar itself is round, with a concave surface where the connection bolts go through it, and through the square bars it mounts to. This creates a very small contact point between the two bars, resulting in a slight wiggle on a quick pull-up. The two bolts joining those bars are as tight as I dare make them without possibly stripping the nuts, shearing the bolts, or warping the bars. Other than that the unit is solid, sturdy, and well worth the slightly less than thirty dollars it cost me. The included closed-end wrench for bolt/nut connectors is adequate for assembly if that's all you have, but it's quite thin and thus slips a lot if not carefully handled. I don't recommend using it to tighten the lag bolts at all, would be very difficult even with pre-drilled holes if not impossible. One washer, out of six, was missing but everything else was there. Compared to all the other brand options I researched over the past year, this unit was the best bang-for-buck I could find.

Mounts well, easy to assemble

It is an ok product for the price. Installation would be more difficult on a finished wall. I installed it in the basement unfinished area and the lag screws they provided are junk. The first one I used broke a quarter way in the stud. I had to waste 10 minutes to get the broken screw out. I got new lag screws from HD and they went in fine. When I install the cross bar over the two wall support installed, the holes didn’t line up perfectly even with careful measurements. I just push one of the supports closer and put the screw in and that works fine. It supports my weight fine but I am on the lighter size 150 lbs.
