I got it mainly for the sophisticated looks and sophisticated machining required to make it. It is impressive piece of technology and useful for specific drink making (coffee, tea, etc...)

I'd been using a Melitta ceramic cone pour over coffee maker for years, with paper filters, but really this makes just as good coffee, or perhaps even better because with the stand it's easier to see inside your cup and see when to stop pouring in hot water. Also this is so much more convenient and doesn't waste paper! I took my new Rialto filter traveling and it was really a great way to get perfect, rich tasting coffee while having any good food or coffee shops near by. I think I chose this brand on account of the demonstration video. It was hard to choose otherwise, as there are so many similar brands all priced similarly. I'd say if you like this type of coffee or need something easy for travel, get it, you'll love it!

I LOVED this when I first received it. It worked great - very little grounds get through. However, after having this for a little over 4 months, the mesh basket has separated from the ring. There is no way to reattach it. For the price I paid for this (and I was willing to pay for it, for something of better quality) - I'm extremely disappointed. I will need to replace it, but it will not be with another of this brand!

This is a well made product. I'm giving it 4 stars because there is no quick drip device out there that can make a full bodied cup of coffee. Simply put, the water runs through the grounds too fast to get the full taste from the coffee grounds. The first time I used it, I tried steeping the coffee in the cup after dripping. Today I double dripped it. The double drip works better. Got a richer taste. I think tomorrow I'll triple drip it. That may do the trick. I've used 4 other one cup drip devices and they all have the same problem -- drips too fast. I do like this product and the fact that there are no paper filters to deal with. I would recommend this product.

After reading the raving reviews for this coffee filter, I don't understand what the problem is with mine. I purchased this in order to have a simple, reliable coffee brewing system that would always work. For some reason, I simply cannot get a decent cup of coffee out of one--it takes so long for it to drip! It should not take 10 minutes for a quarter cup of water to go through it. I have tried running it through the dishwasher and soaking in vinegar, but nothing. Sorry, I'll probably send this one back.

Having used both this type and the type that uses a paper filter, I have to say the paper filter is much more convenient. Clean-up or making a fresh cup involves scooping out the grounds and rinsing out the metal filter and when you use a paper filter, you just have to lift it out and toss it.

I purchased this one year ago exactly and it has been great. As with all things, it takes some time to get used to and of course it is more work that automatic or plastic cups with coffee in them, but I hate that crap. I love this and highly recommend. One suggestion, after a year it was draining slower and so I put it in a big pot of boiling water for a while. There was some scum that boiled off and now it drains very well. Excellent device for those who want to be environmentally careful and brew their own coffee or tea.

This is the right coffee filter I need ; it is pretty , comfortable , easy cleaning . If you are hurry in the morning , it will give you a cup of fresh coffee with full flavor .David
