Q: Whats the differance between the premium and the standard?

The premium is a little longer/heavier, has a larger bulb on the stirring end, and a flatter tip on the end you hold. IMO, the standard one looks prettier. The rounded tip just feels/looks more classic.

Q: How does it come packaged? I am looking to give it as part of a gift.

Morning! Packaged in bubble wrap, then in a box filled with paper. It's still a crap shoot on wether it arrives in one piece. The first on I got was pulverized, literally glass powder and shards. But. Amazon happily sent me a new one. Hope this helps. R.
