The Nutty Fruit House Assorted Rods Hard Candy 2 LB

This is some of the worst candy I’ve ever had. Hard to explain but the flavors are all bland and seemed to be mixed with mint too. Bad aftertaste. Going into the garbage. I’m really surprised there are ANY good reviews on this. I would take any of the plain generic $1/pound mixed hard candy over this stuff any day. And of course no returns are accepted.

I didn't like all the flavors. None were great. I like fruit and sour flavored candy. This mix has weird blue minty ones and yellow butterscotch ones. Gross. I had to give those away. It did say there were mint and butterscotch ones, I just thought the other flavors would make up for it. So for years I have been trying to figure out how to find this candy. It was the highlight when going to Razoos. Me along with my friends would take huge handfuls of this candy when we were leaving the restaurant. I finally found out the name and looked on Amazon and of course they had it. They are really good. Most of the flavors anyway. I wasn’t exactly excited about the price but I was like well may as well go ahead just so I can have this candy.

I've tried several brands of hard candy and I really prefer these the most. I bought another brand that was round rather than oblong and all of them within a few weeks had the wrappers stick to the candy. With this brand this has never ever happened. With the other brand I had to throw all the candy away because it was just a mess to try to open them up. This brand that's never happened and they're very flavorful.

Great tasting candy and I like all the flavors, my guess is Apple, Lemon, Cherry, Butter Scotch, Black Licorice, Fruit Punch and I don't now what the White and Blue are but their just as good.

Alot good fruity flavors, plus licorice, liked all but not great fan of wintergreen & were alot these in bag. Just my preference of fruit type flavors, not the candy fault. I also hv small mouth so long tubes were bit awkward..again a personal preference. Candy good quality.

As advertised, the product succeeded. As I interpreted however, I was disappointed. I pictured a sleeker more refined look, smaller (These measured slightly bigger than 1½ x ½). I wanted 'just a taste' of a hard candy, not a mouthful or a 'project' piece. But I can't fault the makers for that, so I didn't. The flavors are distinct and identifiable by color and sweet as one would expect. Each flavor is represented but the amounts of each selection is random; 4 of one flavor or 15 of another. Securely wrapped, this would make a good piñata filler.

candies are very fresh and the flavors are as advertise. The issue is, as with other brands of mixed flavored hard candy, is you may get more of a particular flavor than you'd like.
