I'm not sure whether the claims that this product absorbs allergens or improves air quality are true, but HOLY WOW this is an effective odor control product. Our kitty has some health problems, and as a consequence we've had to switch him to new (so, so stinky) food, an open top litter box and new litter that does not do a good job with odor control. Kitty's food, eating area and litter box are located in the same half of the living room, with about a 5 foot span between them. Because this is in our living area, the smell was a major issue, and our many air purifiers were not doing the job even in a small apartment. This little baseball-sized paperweight picked up the slack in an hour or so. No cat smells. None. Even the dog smells are gone. Our living/dining/kitchen area is about 450 square feet, and I'd say this covers about half of that space (the whole living room). It has no odor at all, not even plastic from the mesh cover. It contributes nothing to the smell of the house, it only neutralizes what's there (which in our home include stinky dog, stinky cat, 2 inexplicably fragrant tweens and 2 adults who sweat like a glass of water)I'm buying one for every room in our home.

We purchased this item for a small front closet that accumulated foot and wetness odors during a stretch of rainy days not long ago. We've got it in the back of the closet and since we put it in, the closet doesn't seem as stinky as it did previously. Admittedly, this is a small closet, and we don't store sports equipment or work items that get major sweat inside it. But it seems to be working fairly well, so long as we keep the door closed when not in use. It's not strong enough to tackle a whole hallway or room, but serves very well to de-moist-and-stankify this space. I'd purchase another, perhaps a larger one.

I bought this back in May, giving it 6 months to work. I placed it above my dogs kennel where she has a potty pad and litter box. I have 2 tiny potty pad trained dogs. Unfortunately this product did not help with the smell at all. I do try to keep everything clean but can’t change everything every time they go. I do keep the poop cleaned up so it’s really just the urine smell. Although this item was in close proximity to where they pee, I forgot it was even there. That’s how much it didn’t work. Too bad, I was hoping I finally found something; the search continues

I feel that it helps but doesn't work as well as I had hoped in the bathroom. But, I put one on top of the water heater in an area that smells musty sometimes, and there it works pretty well.

OH MY GOODNESS! so i have only had this thing for 2 days! and im in love....let me start by saying...i was skeptical...i ordered it thinking ok what the heck! and when i got it i was like oh lord 15 dollars wasted! its a little smaller than a toilet paper roll....I bought it because i have two large cats that share a BIG litter box....now dont get me wrong my house doesnt smell horrible. I clean the litter box every single day sometimes twice a day to make sure my house doesnt smell....but the little room that the litter box is in does smell like...well a litter box lol...but every weekend my husband and i Go to my parents house for the weekend to keep them company...the cats have a self feeder/water full of sustenance and a litter box with fresh litter....but we are gone for a night or two so when we come home the lingering smell of cat poop and pee fills that little room(gross i know)....I have used o2 sprays....oils...incense...febreeze...dryer sheets! everything! in that room!.....i put this is yesterday morning...later in the day scoffed when i went in and didnt notice a difference...went to bed a little defeated...well today..i went in that room and i swear the smell is cut down about 75%.....my mind is blown. im so happy! im getting these for the restroom my husbands gym bag! theyre awesome....i will update my review a few months from now or if i notice anything else....!!! Originally when I got the product it worked wonders. I bought it to help with the smell of my litter box. The first week it worked wonders, it was great not having to smell it anymore. The second week I noticed it wasn't working as well. At this point I'm back to where I was when I bought it. It's rather upsetting because I had such high hopes for this product. But I can say when it works boy does it work!

This is an update to my previous review. This product has been in the (previously) smelly location - a small, office restroom with no windows or ventilation - for three days. After the first two days (as of yesterday), it had taken the "edge" off of the unpleasant, lingering odor. I am happy to report that, as of today, the odor is completely gone. I was skeptical when I purchased this, but I wanted to use a natural, non-perfume product to address this issue. This product not only exceeded my expectations, but I am completely sold. I will be curious to see how long this products works, but for $15.00, if it lasts even 6 months, I will be very happy to purchase a replacement.

I bought a ton of these and placed them all over my open first floor (1000sqft). We cook a lot especially stuff like broccoli. They do seem to reduce some of the strong odor. I’ve also placed 2 in the master bathroom and closet near our dirty laundry bin....we are daily gym goers so we have sweaty clothes in our bin often. Really helped there as well. I think some of the bad reviews are expecting too much from 1 single product. With multiples in a larger space they do the trick for us!
