The Roswell Legacy: The Untold Story of the First Military Officer at the 1947 Crash Site

It happened!
This is a unique perspective on an intensely controversial topic by a man who seems, to all intents and purposes, as trustworthy as mom and apple pie. That was Jesse Marcel, Jr., RIP. Would such a man lie to us? I think not.The world of UFO researchers and the general public desperately needed such testimony from of one of the most important original participants of those long ago events which we now call "Roswell." Now we have it.Who among us can live so very long without the truth, especially when we sense so strongly, in spite of all the ridiculous "explanations" coming from the government, that we have been lied to time after time? The pressure for the truth to come out has been building for far too long, and something just had to give, and something has, thanks to Jesse Marcel, Jr. and his father. His father told him about what he had seen, almost certainly in violation of military security regulations, and young Jessie, Jr., held the artifacts right in his own hands and lived to tell the tale here in this fascinating and revelatory volume. There is much food for thought in this material, and many questions are generated by it. Who were they? What were they doing here? Where did the remains of the crash and the victims go? Neither Marcel nor any of us has the answers. But at least we have a few tantalizing clues to go on.Jesse's conversation deep underground with the mysterious government "official," made it quite clear that there has been a cover-up going on for a long time. It's time for the lies to stop. The human race needs and deserves to know the truth about Roswell, and about UFOs generally. The "excuses" of those in power for keeping this vital information from us are, in my estimation, illegitimate. It is my opinion that there is no truth in God's creation that we are not fit to know about.I also believe that Jesse's description of "The Black Government" to be quite accurate. Those who cry "conspiracy theory" are either tragically misguided, hopelessly brainwashed, or part of their own REAL conspiracy to deprive the world of precious knowledge. Moreover, they MUST have billions of dollars at their disposal and a covert means, as Jesse puts it, of "allow[ing] them to accumulate funds covertly, without the encumbrance of a paper trail subject to any kind of oversight." (page 102).Jesse and his wife have a lot of interesting things to say about Roswell, UFOs, zero point energy, "Black Government," and a whole lot more, but I won't spoil the reading of potential readers here. Suffice it to say, all freedom loving people should read them with great interest. In short, this is one of the best books about Roswell out there because it was written by somebody who was there, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Ufology and the nature of truth, and the necessary role that truth plays in our civilization. It's a must read.

DEMOLISHES THE "MOGUL BALLOON" THEORY
Jesse Marcel Jr. has written a touching vindication of his father, Jesse Marcel, the Security Officer the military asked to look over the debris field on Mac Brazel's farm back in June of 1947. The author was an 11 year-old boy living with his parents near the military base at Roswell New Mexico, and he personally saw and touched parts of the debris as his father excitedly told him it was "not of this world."The basic story is well known, and Jesse Jr does not provide anything beyond the known facts and research that anyone could do. But the book is a valuable contribution to the legacy of Roswell because the author, besides the fact that he was part of it, focuses on the elements that keep people from believing the debris was from a crashed space ship. Starting with what he sees as a denigration of his father. He shows us in great detail that his father, Jesse Marcel, was technologically astute and well-trained in all aspects of military radar and balloons. It is just not possible that he would not have recognized any kind of balloon in use by the military. The government has admitted that its first claim, that the debris was from a weather balloon, along with the infamous picture of Marcel with the "debris," was a falsehood and a cover-up.But their more recent report on the Rosell incident claims that the debris was from Project Mogul, which was balloons sent high in the atmosphere to "listen" for evidence of Soviet nuclear testing. However, the author thoroughly researched Project Mogul and shows how this simply does not fit the facts. He states with certainty that the Mogul materials were nothing like what he saw in the family kitchen that night in 1947. He had a chance to personally examine some of the Mogul materials, so his opinion here is based on real knowledge. Beyond that, he researched which Mogul balloons were aloft at the time that could have landed on Mac Brazel's farm, and none of them fit. And beyond that, the debris field was much larger than what you'd get from a Mogul balloon, and, since the Mogul materials were ordinary, the military usually didn't even bother to collect downed balloons. So why, in the Roswell incident, did they scrape up every last piece of debris and have it flown, with armed guards, to Wright-Patterson?The book is somewhat disorganized and unorthodox in its layout and organization, but I found the rather homespun approach an indication of its authenticity as the real thoughts of the author (and his wife too). No spin here, just an honest recounting of memories and what the incident did to the Marcel family. I was saddened to read that his father became more cynical and took up drinking excessively as he grew older, contemplating the years he had to keep quiet and listen to his government put out "facts" he knew to be false. In his later years, he did talk about it somewhat, including telling Linda Marcel (Jesse Jr's wife) that what he saw in 1947 was "not of this earth."Everyone has their opinion and debunkers will always be with us, but Jesse Marcel Jr has kept faith with his father's belief that both the father and the son held in their hands pieces of something that came from "out there."

Solid, well-written book from a first person witness to alien crash debris
Really well-written, I don't know if this was ghost-written or Jesse wrote it, but it's very readable and somewhat frightening in the sense that he was clearly (and illegally) being surveilled by the US government, yet was an MD, a veteran of the US Navy and Colonel in the Montana Army National Guard. It's really too bad for the US government, who wanted the Roswell incident forgotten, that both Jesse Jr. and his father provided very credible on-camera testimony, but as the book shows, the government tried to persuade Jesse that as a kid, he had seen remnants of project Mogul balloons which is risible. Definitely worth reading how our government has kept Roswell's alien saucer crashes hidden for 75 years.

This is a great book written by the son of Jesse A
This is a great book written by the son of Jesse A. Marcel Sr. who actually was at the RoswellUFO crash site. He explains how his father brought home some ET parts from the downed craft. Also he writes of his family's reactions regarding all this exposure to the Roswell crash, that did happen!Fantastic true stuff!

What a lucky man
For a young boy to have experienced this this must have been quite an event . I have no doubts at all that this event happened and that his father came across the greatest find of all time.(SHAME ABOUT THE U.S.A.F AGAIN!!!!!!)

Needed More
This book certainly establishes the credibility of Jesse Marcel Sr., and the fact he was forced to cover up the real debris from the Roswell incident. The fact that his son handled it is quite believable, and it was definitely not a Mogul array. No accident that Nitinol [memory metal] was miraculously patented in Dayton after analysis at Batelle right after everything was shipped to Wright Patterson. I'm glad Jesse Marcel Jr. documented this. Unfortunately his father being in military intelligence/security obviously kept a lot to himself, so the book is a little light on material for a paperback sized work.
