It should be said that there are a couple “REALITIES” with trying a product like this. 1. Obviously not everyone’s body is shaped the same and things “fit” differently. Sometimes the simple switch to a smaller or larger size helps a lot. Size 1 is generally used for PRE-CHILDBIRTH and size 2 is generally for POST-CHILDBIRTH or over the age of 30. 2. There is a big learning curve the first month or two. You may get this product, hold it in your hand and think “This is FAR TOO BIG for where it needs to go and it is FAR TO SMALL for what it needs to do”. Any menstrual cup you use requires getting familiar with your anatomy and can be quite messy till you figure it out. We have two things to help with that… a. We have included irrigation bottles so you can remove it, clean everything, rinse the cup and reinsert. This helps with “the mess”. b. The stem on the menstrual cup can be trimmed to a length you desire. We STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT cut it until you have used it for a few months. It may feel “too long” the first few times but be patient. Once you figure out the right positioning then you may be grateful you didn’t cut it. 3. When the menstrual cup is removed you may feel some pressure. Two things help: Break the seal inside BEFORE you remove the cup and try to fold the cup the best you can before removal. 4. Menstrual cups DO NOT go in as high as tampons do. They should sit just inside the vagina. Upon insertion it is crucial that you TWIST the cup to create a good seal against your body. There are ridges on the stem to help you remove the cup easily. To help with that… use your finger to break the seal BEFORE you remove the cup. 5. IUD or Tilted Uterus Concerns: IUD’s sit VERY HIGH in the uterus and the menstrual cups should sit in the base of the vagina. For other questions (including titled uterus or IUD) or any other concerns please consult your physician.
