2-Drawer Commercial Legal Size File Cabinet Finish: Putty

This is a pretty well made filing cabinet. It has smooth gliding ball bearing drawer slides and seems to work OK. The reason for the less than stellar rating is that it looked perfect, at least the box did, when it arrived, but there was hidden damage. The left bottom drawer slide had come loose in shipping and the bottom drawer looked crooked. Upon examination it turned out it had suffered shipping damage. The cabinet on the bottom rear was buckled and the drawer slide support was bent. I could not return it because I had destroyed shipping the box in order to remove the cabinet. I managed to straighten out the drawer slide support and reattach the drawer slide. We pushed the cabinet under a shelf and use it there, thus hiding the external dents. Clue: If you buy one, examine it carefully before destroying the box it came in!

This file cabinet is probably worth the cost, however, the bottom drawer contains both file stabilizers, or the things which hold the files upright in the drawer and keeps them from falling down flat...……..and this end user has not been able to move one of them from the bottom drawer to the top drawer...and the shipping container and box was wrecked when unpacking and so it's not returnable because the box is history!!! Will have to use it but have learned valuable lesson!

I ordered 2 Hirsh Industries 25" Deep Vertical File Cabinet 2-Drawer Legal Size, Putty - but I received Hirsh 22" Deep 2-Drawer, Letter Size Putty - They seem perfectly acceptable, sturdy, locking, etc. They are just NOT the product I ordered. Having to move all of my files from legal to letter is time consuming, not to mention money involved.*UPDATE* They refunded my money (even the files I bought) AND let me keep the letter size file cabinets!

Solid. Functional. Plain. Works well. Arrived assembled. It was missing the two metal file separators in one of the drawers, but they quickly sent them after I called amazon customer service.

The product description tells you the file cabinet comes with follower blocks. What the description doesn't tell you is that two follower blocks are installed in the bottom drawer and none in the top drawer. You have to come up with another option to keep your files in the top drawer from falling over. I believe alcohol must have been involved when the item was assembled.

Cabinet came well packaged with no damage; the drawers move smoothly on the ball bearings; hold weight well. I had a cheaper two drawer cabinet not on rollers; the metal collapse under file weight. Though my files are letter; the legal size makes everything fit smoother.

Is a thin retail file. Not commercial at all. Very poor quality. Came in damagedinside box with no looks of damage on box. Think it was damaged before packing.Good way to get rid of seconds. Do not Buy!Vendor never returns dalls

The cabinet was delivered assembled which was a plus and was very well packed. No damages or scratches. Quite please with the product.Deliver was prompt and I love the color, 'putty'.
