EDSYN951SXe LONER Legacy Line Soldering Station with Linear Temperature Control

I am a big fan of this soldering iron! The bottom compartment and donut-shaped sponge were tossed almost immediately and replaced with the Edsyn dry tip cleaner (it looks like a ball of brass wool in a dish), and it has served me well. The looks are a little juvenile, I could do without so much blue LED lighting, but the iron heats up quickly and has a small footprint. I do not have calibration tools to measure tip temperature, but I like the fact that the temperature calibration is adjustable if it starts drifting later on. Very nice unit, and glad to buy a product made in USA.

Far, far better and more reliable that the other high-end irons that I've used over the used. And the tips are really reasonable in price, too. I've only had it for a couple of months, but even it fails I'd get another. Yes, it's that much better than the others -- other is some cases costing three times the price of the Edsyn.

Great buy. Love that it is built all in one piece. Use it daily. Definitely buy tips with it
