The clip is larger than it looks. The spring is very stout and the gripping surface has rubber protectors on it to keep from scratching up the surface that you are clamping it on. Works great.

This is my second one--I love these things. Super handy and convenient! I recommend a dab of glue to hold the rubber pieces that cover the jaws of this thing--I find they fall off when you unclamp these sometimes. I use it to hold a small HD camera, a Zoom H4N, and a battery-powered LED video light. It will work as a tabletop tripod for a DSLR camera in a pinch, but that's definitely pushing it on the weight for this particular clamp.

This mount came quickly and was made out of sturdy steel. That does make it fairly heavy. It held my Sony Action Cam very well. Really great price. Other mounts mated up very welll with it. Two problems. One, it gave off a rubbery smell, sort of like new tires. Might have been the grip. I imagine it would fade in time. Finally, if you mount it on the side of a canoe, be sure and tie off with some cordage. If you capsize in some rapids, it will come off and sink to the bottom with your camera and only be found by Smeagal in some distant time. Belive me, I know. If it had not had the smell, I would have given it five stars.

Works great, strong clamp!! I'm using it with a Sony AS20, and it is rock solid.

Built well, but not what I had hoped for.

Now this is the all-round mount that I us constantly. It not only is a mount for your action camera but will work with smaller light weight cameras such as the Canon VIXIA HF R500 Digital Camcorder (I use it for this camera) and will clip virtually everywhere. For instance, I often use this clipped overhead when filming for those demonstration close-ups. Pretty straightforward clamp with a LOT of grip strength. My female photo assistant was not strong enough to attach the clamp to a lightstand but once attached they tend to stay put bearing a normal sized speedlight or any small LED panel lighting to a pole or window ledge. The GoPro adaptor is a nice inclusion but raises the price a couple of bucks if you don;t shoot GoPro cameras.

This item is rather large and a bit awkward to use sometimes, but it allows you to mount your GoPro to things you never thought you could. This is the most versatile mount I have in my kit. I use it on everything from motorcycle handlebars, to gun barrels, to fire helmets.The clip is heavy duty and the spring is strong. It is unlikely to unclip itself easily. I like the swivel mount that allows me to position my camera any way I like. I use this all the time.

Came without instructions. It seams to have more than option and I can't figure the second.

Used few times with my GoPro Hero Black 3+ to record my bands rehearsal. The clip holder was very useful as I could mount the camera in different places with the flexibility to adjust the angle accordingly.
