Really sturdy, looks nice
We found ourselves needing a railing for the bathroom earlier than we'd hoped. I'd seen ones like this before but didn't know which to pick. This one had good reviews and was Moen which I think is a good name.It was easy to install (6 screws), and feels really secure. (You can't second guess security when you're trusting it with your weight.) The finish is (obviously) different than the other fixtures in the bathroom, but the look quickly becomes unobtrusive and just seems to fit in quite suitably. Would recommend.

Don't wait until you think you need one!
I moved from a house to a condo cause stairs were becoming a problem with balance. On every wall that a grab war was needed there now is one, and 2 in the walk in shower. It isn't a matter IF you will fall but WHEN! My kids are at ease knowing I use these to get around as my walker just doesn't fit everywhere.Being in construction for over 40 years these were a breeze to install. Get help from a pro if you are unsure.

Much easier to install than most other safety bars due to the ends have 3 holes and 3 slots.
Excellent quality. Unique mounting plates hsve 3 holes and 3 slots which makes it possible to put 2 screws in a single stud above the bar wnd and 1 below if mounted horizontally. Moen instructions recommend at least a 24" bar if it will be mounted on an angle between studs on 16" centres. Not knowing this, I ordered an 18" bar, which then required additional blocking behind the wall (in my case I had access). Very pleased with the result!

Solid if installed correctly.
High quality grab bar. Capable of holding a lot of weight. Make sure you hit a stud and use stainless steel screws though. Pilot a small hole before driving a long screw. This stops the screw from breaking off before driven in all the way. You should know where you put blocking before tiling your shower and use a diamond dry bit on low speed to cut through the tile. The bit should be larger than the screw threading so you don’t break the screw while driving it into the stud. You can squirt some silicone into and over the screw heads to stop water from penetrating the framing and rotting out the stud.

Grab bar is right for me.
I installed it in the bathtub/shower at an angle on the long wall so that it can be used for support while taking a shower and for support to get up when I'm taking a bath. I really like it. The grab bar has a large diameter and I thought it might be too big, but it's just fine. The bar is nice and solid. There are six holes on each end to screw the bar into the wall so there are lots of leeway to get the stud behind the wall if you get one screw that is off. Then the cover plate covering the screws just snaps into place. I use the grab to to help myself get upright after a bath, and also as a support to get into the bath/shower and as a safety bar while taking a shower. My only regret is that I waited this long to get the grab bar.
