Well pleased with the performance
I'm not a techie which is why I'm well pleased with this tester. I just have to make sure there is a via signal at the cable drop. Once this tester was set for channel frequencies in the US I can now test for all channels on our cable system and their overall strength.

Don't waste your money on this device.
Don't waste your money on this device. 4 months old and it stopped working. When fully charged it doesn't stay on. Press the power button and the device powers up, release and it goes off. They only guarantee the product for 30 days. So AUGOCOM should be on your do-not-buy-from list

Perfect meter
I use this one in cabling business, I work for spectrum and Comcast. The meter doesn’t give the exact downstream reading, however, when it shows 50-60, I know it’s roughly equivalent to +12 decibels as would be on Thrilithic or other expensive meters. For $75 is perfect choice because it shows the reading immediately

No Idiot Light
I’m an electronics tech so I understand technical parameters. Of course you can use it to just tell you if you have a signal but it’s kind of dumb to spend this kind of money when you can get an idiot light a lot cheaper. It’s basically what the cable guys use and I doubt if even they know what everything means. The problem with this is that the two inline F connectors they give you only one side would screw into either the meter (it’s a male) or a cable F connector. I had to go to Home Depot and buy two more at $7.Aside from that it works fine with it’s idiosyncrasy of needed multiple pushes on the power switch to turn on. This is the same problem as mentioned by another purchaserMake sure you fully charge it first even if the battery indicator shows that it’s fully charged. The charger light with be red but turns green when the meter is charged. .

Outstanding customer service!
This product came to me with a CATV cable adapter that was not standard F-Type. It was unusable. This company worked directly with me and I provided a diagram for them to have a custom made adapter. They had this made and sent me samples to approve for manufacturing. GREAT customer service that was totally unexpected. I received the adapter and it worked perfect and allowed a standard F-Type cable end to be used. Just outstanding. The device can now be used for signal testing and works great.

It's reasonably priced
Pros: It does work and allowed me to measure and troubleshoot my antenna system. I could not find anyone in my area to measure my antenna signal levels let alone pay them to do it. I found that my antenna preamp could not handle the wide range of signal levels at my location. Use the info at Rabbitears.Info to list the stations you should be able to receive at your location.Cons: 1. The power on circuit is quite flakey and does not latch reliably. I found that hitting the power on switch and holding it for a few seconds and then releasing and holding on for a few seconds it would latch.2. The meter specs 30dBuV to 120dBuV measuring range but mine would not measure below 40dBuV.3. The meter selectivity could be improved. Strong stations (at the 95dBuV level and above do bleed into adjacent channels.Summary: It got the job done but has room for improvement.
