I purchased two of these units to combine as one large unit for my granddaughter. I think one unit would be pretty confining. I chose to purchase two units for the extra size and the extra gate. My daughter did not want a playpen fence for the baby. She didn't want something in their way. I begged her to let me buy this because I was concerned since the baby just started crawling she would find a small part of her 3 year old brother's toys on the floor and choke on it.The units came in this week. My daughter and her husband set them up without a problem. The combination of the 2 units looks clean and beautiful especially in the white color. They have it set up in a square/rectangular shape so that there is a gate on either side to enter/exit the area. They have filled the area within the fence with cushioned floor mats. The playpen/fence has not been set up in the other possible configurations so I cannot comment on those. I bought it based on reviewing many similar units on Amazon. This item was not the cheapest. But I did compare this to a similar unit and I noticed one charged sales tax and this one didn't so the net cost of this one was slightly more. I liked the reviews on this one concerning the gate and the clean look. My daughter and her husband reluctantly admitted that they really like the 2 units combined.I did not receive any incentives for my review. I paid the full listed Amazon price.

We have a new puppy. We got one of those wire pens for him. Unfortunately, he almost immediately figured out he could climb the cross wires! He was out in a flash. SO we got this pen. It is almost perfect. It will be perfect when we get done. The bars are in general about two inches wide. Those he cannot get through. But the gate is a different matter. The bars around the hinge and latch areas are about a half inch wider--probably to accommodate the mechanics of the gate latch and hinge. But that is just enough wider that our puppy can get his shoulders through. Maybe the rest of his body, but we intervened.Solution is twofold. I took out the gate for now. I have ordered an extension piece to put the pen back to its full size. (Amazon prime, it will be here shortly.) Once the puppy gets bigger and cannot squeeze through the 2.5 inch gap we will put back the gate and have a slightly larger pen.If I had known I would have ordered the extension with the pen and the combo would be rated a five. I'll try to remember to come back and re-rate in a few days.

We are in the midst of some serious dog behavior training and use this fence to keep our 2 dogs apart. It is perfect for our needs. Since we don't have it attached to the wall, it s only used when my husband and I or the behaviorist are there to supervise. It is fine fr this purpose but it is not sturdy enough otherwise. The only awkward part is that the gate section is on the end.

The gate overall feels pretty sturdy (made of metal) but the hinges that connect each panel are made of plastic...A gate door hinge was snapped in half and several panel hinges were bent. I ordered a replacement gate. Same thing. I had to pick and choose the good hinges from each gate and piece them all together to have one good gate.

Love it I actually use this for my puppy bc she can’t climb out of this one ! Works perfect!

As others mentioned the hardware came broken. My husband is handy so he was able to set it up anyways.

We used it for months. It works great. I set it up in our garage to prevent my doggy from running to the street when our garage door rolls up. It is wonderful. Its door works smoothly, and it is so smoothly assembled that will not endanger kids or doggies for leaning against it or put their hands on it. We love it; it safely protects my extremely excited doggy when he sees we are driving into garage.

Fencing works well to protect toddlers from our hot pellet stove. We have it in a U-shape, not attached to the wall, so that we can remove it to clean the stove. It is heavy enough so that it doesn't fall over easily, but not so heavy that we can't easily move it and fold it up when kids aren't here. We have furniture that prevents the toddlers from getting to the loose ends that are not attached to the walls, but they should be attached for maximum safety.
