Pros: Great taste, cheap, low calorie snack. Cons: None! Bottom line: If you’ve ever had Korean or Japanese food this is a staple and this brand by far produces the best Nori I’ve ever had! My mother is Korean and I remember growing up eating Nori and rice every day. My mother passed when I was seven years old and this always brings back good memories. Flavor: Flavor is the most important factor for me. I’ve had some copious amounts of Nori in my life, some that miss the rich flavors of roasted seaweed and some of them that just down right suck. This one has a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Rollability: If you like making sushi rolls or Korean kimbap this Nori is great. It’s very easy to roll with a bamboo roller, it does not crack as easily as other brands. Shelf life and texture: The bag is resealable, great for keeping it from going stale. I’ve had a single bag last me over a month with the flavor and crispiness unblemished. The crispy texture is one of the best parts about this Nori for me, I like it when it has that satisfying crisp. Price: I have gone to many Asian grocery stores and loaded up my cart with many various brands of Nori and this one is one of the cheapest. At 50 sheets for about $9 this is about as good as it gets. With the balance of great taste and great price this is a steal. How I eat it: I prefer to eat it the way my mom would make it for me: Cut it into small strips, take a piece, add rice and eat. Because of the way I eat it, it puts more of an emphasis on the flavor of the seaweed because there are no other flavors to contest it, making it paramount that it taste good. It’s also a great alternative to eating chips, just break off a piece and enjoy. When I’m not lazy, I like to make kimbap (Korean sushi roll) especially if I’m cooking for friends or family; they always love it!

I encourage anyone who may be on the fence to buy these sheets to go right ahead, they will not regret it. I live in the caribbean where products like these are only sold in rare specialty stores and are 3x the price so I wanted to buy it online. Unfortunately, by the time I paid Customs and Duty taxes the price matched exactly what I would pay in my country for this quantity. But that's not the matter here, the point is that I was so impressed with this product that I would definitely order again regardless of the shipping and taxes incurred. That's just how good this is. To go into detail, I've just received this today and tried it out plain. The smell is a bit fishy as expected, the texture was nice and crunchy yet pliable enough to be rolled to make sushi, and the taste - amazing! I'm not exaggerating, I have bought imported nori sheets locally here before but this one had an unmistakably potent taste that was just the right flavour (if you know what I mean) and it's obvious that the roasting has made it even tastier. Another plus is that the bag is resealable and there is a large dessicant package included to discourage the sheets getting soft. I can't wait to put this in some fried rice. I will update this review if I notice anything more that would help other customers. I plan to both eat this straight and use in cooking and I definitely recommend this to others. We recently got a sushi kit for Christmas so we can make our own sushi rolls at home. Not really knowing much about it, we bought a package of nori sheets from our local grocery store and again from our oriental market (thinking that's where you get the best nori). These nori sheets were very rubber-ish and tasted pretty fishy. After reading all of the positive reviews about these nori sheets on Amazon, we decided to give them a try. I am very impressed! There is no fishy taste, and you are not still chewing on the nori after the rice and insides of your sushi roll are gone. The only complaint I have, and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that some of the sheets arrived kind of crushed with jagged edges. I think this is probably a little bit hard to avoid with them them being shipped in the mail. This will be our go-to brand for nori sheets from now on. I would definitely recommend to anyone making their own sushi rolls at home!

These are crisp, whole, tasty nori sheets that have worked well for making maki-style sushi. I reseal the package and put it opening-side-down inside a ziplock bag to keep out moisture, and that has worked well since I got them a couple of months back. I keep the bag at room temperature. The sheets are still easily separated, crisp and flavorful, unlike what happens with some more expensive, smaller packaged brands that quickly turn sticky and off-flavor. If a problem develops, I will update this review, if not I will be ordering more when they run out. UPDATE October 28, 2015: I used the last of the package to make maki sushi last night (delicious!), and the nori sheets were still crisp and tasty, over 4 months after the package was first opened. Since then, they have been stored at room temp in the original zip-locked bag with the silica gel drying bag that came in it, upside down in a second, added ziploc bag to make sure no moisture got in. I ordered and received another bag and will open it the next time I make sushi.

These are amazing!!! They are so fun to use. I have been putting cucumbers and other vegan sushi recipes. They would be perfect for any additional sushi recipe. They are easy to use and I don't even need a sushi roller - they just roll up perfectly without a mat. They taste like restaurant quality, in my opinion. They have lasted me a long time and I have not had them go bad or taste funny. I would definitely buy this brand again and I was very happy with the price.
