No way this is a "plug n play." Does Amazon check descriptions anymore?Not sure why we should have to change our fixtures to support a bulb. Either it works or it doesnt. The bulb can be changed to emulate a CFL with the ballast. Shouldnt be considered for a replacement as if you have to modify your fixture, you might as well just get one made for LEDs and you'd be better off.

Awesome product, light weight, bright, and easy to install. Worked well with the existing ballast connection. Downside was slow shipping

We have been going through and replacing all of our bulbs with LED. The only ones we couldn't change out yet, were the fluorescent lights. Now they can be replaced as well. This bulb has the square piece with two pins on each side. They fit in my outdoor ceiling fans. So, we will get better lighting for less. Can't beat that!

The light worked great for 14 months and then it inexplicably failed. The light was in a closet area are rarely used, so why it failed was not due to usage.

The bulbs installed fine and worked for about an hour before failing. I'm assuming that the existing ballast was not compatible, but very little info is provided by the manufacturer in this regard.

This bulb works great as a replacement for EPL1100. Make sure that this is the replacement size you need. As for the bulb itself it works great. The brightness is not quite the equivalent of a 100 watt bulb but it is brighter than the bulb it replaced ( I am not exactly sure how bright the old one was either). The light from this bulb is warm (yellowish) so it looks great in a dining or living room. I can't vouch for the longevity of this bulb but even if it lasts for half the claimed number of hours it should last for years. The only downside is that the price is rather high... especially considering that other LED and CFL bulb prices have fallen drastically.

I love these lights and cannot t find anything wrong with them, except for maybe they are quite expensive for LEDs and the light felt a bit closer to the cool white range than soft white. Then again, I believe this form factor is comparatively newer in the LED world. The light is even, bright, and the shape of it makes it very easy to push in, and though LEDs don't run hot, the aluminum heat sinks are a thoughtful addition to have since these lights usually are in some sort of small enclosure (mine is in a small receptacle with thick glass around it). Since I will eventually need four of these, I will definitely be purchasing the other ones very soon.

These have the potential to be really good, IF your ballast is compatible. There is a short list of compatible ballasts on the Euri website. In my Panasonic ceiling fan/light, they flashed bright for up to 1/2 second then dimmed to useless. I wish I could use them, but I can't.
