Review: Quick and Powerful Content - I love this map of Emotional Intelligence. I have to admit that before picking up this book, I hadn't dived into the subject and was more into other forms of assessment and behavior change/improvement processes as a professional coach. With this brief guide, I can see right away how to help my clients particularly in the area of resilience, This a quick and powerful read, full of really rich content. I would suggest this book as a tool for someone who would like to get a view of Emotional Intelligence as a great starting place and glossary, or to someone well grounded in the subject as a great reminder or handbook to keep the important points right at hand. Well done. As a neuropsychologist, I was eager to read the compact guide. It was expertly written in clear, concise language loaded with pertinent quotes and examples of the points being discussed. Having studied and worked with brain-behavior relationships for over 40 years, I am happy to see this book available to the greater audience of facilitators, coaches, and trainers so that they can now integrate some of these powerful concepts, methods and strategies into their work of helping people grow.

A Useful Companion for the EQ-i 2.0 Assessment
This is an informative and entertaining guide to the emotional intelligence assessment EQ-i 2.0. It's useful for anyone who has taken the assessment and wants to have a practical guide for understanding the scales and sub-scales. As well, it's useful for emotional intelligence trainers or coaches. There are also helpful links to some lovely video clips that show examples of the EQ competencies. I liked all of them but in particular the one on "emotional self-expression" - or as the author states: "balanced emotional self-expression." Brilliant example. I would have liked each item in the "Resource" section to be hyper-linked.

Excellent, practical guide
As a practitioner in the field of social work and victim advocacy, I have found Steve’s guide very informative – putting concrete language to concepts that I help individuals to explore and develop in their healing and personal development journeys – and practical: I can now explain more clearly the inter-connectedness between the major competencies of Emotional Intelligence. Steve writes in such a way that both professionals (coaches, trainers, therapists) and the “lay person” will find pertinent content regarding emotional intelligence, and how it affects so many facets of one’s professional and personal fulfillment. I particularly liked Steve’s use of anecdotes, personal examples and references to film clips to vividly illustrate how the various scales and sub-scales of EQ play out in our daily lives, whether in the workplace, with our families and friends, or in our heads! I definitely recommend this book to anyone wishing to enhance their emotional intelligence, relationships and overall happiness quotient; or help others to do so.

This is great reference for those who have taken the assessment, as well as for managers and coaches who can support growth in targeted areas.

Achat inutile
Je connais assez bien l'EQ-i et je trouve ce petit manuel complètement inutile et inintéressant. Je regrette mon achat et le déconseille aux intéressés..
