Hachette Hangman (A Ragdoll Book)

Loved this Sequel!!
Daniel Cole is really coming into his own with this follow-up novel to "Ragdoll". More grisly murders with a suspenseful plot all while creating characters that I actually care about. I can't wait to read the final book in this trilogy, "End Game". I hope it becomes available in North American soon as right now it's only available in the UK.

This Follow-Up to "Ragdoll" Is Very Good
Detective Emily Baxter is summoned once again to work on a mysterious murder case. But this one looks to be even bigger than the "Ragdoll" murders. Summoned by the FBI and CIA, Baxter travels from London to New York. Once there, she is presented with a photograph of a man hung suspended from the Brooklyn bridge. Carved into his torso is the word "Bait". Even more chilling for Emily is the man's name: William Fawkes. Now, a series of murder-suicides has taken place, with the victim having "Bait" carved in their torso, and the word "Puppet" carved into the killer. As events continue to worsen on both sides of the Atlantic, Baxter and her new partners must figure out a way to catch the person behind all of these strange murder-suicides before the body count reaches huge numbers.I enjoyed reading "Ragdoll", and "Hangman" is equally as good. The story is well-conceived, and many of the characters in "Ragdoll" are here as well. The new characters, including Rouche and Curtis, add to this great story. I've thoroughly enjoyed both books in this series, and I'm anxiously awaiting book three. Highly recommended.

Really good summer read
If you’ve read the first one and loved it as much as I did you will for sure like this one. Maybe a bit more brutal at times but keeps you in your toes!I have recommended it to all my friends.

Time well spent
This is a great read. It cleverly continues from the first book but also could be read on its own. The plot is as intricate and exciting as Ragdoll with new places and characters to enjoy. I can't wait to read the last of the trilogy. Reading this during lockdown was time well spent!
