It's metal with rubber matting.

Would this be big enough for my 25 lb sheltie?

The table specs says safe for up to 50 lbs.

would this be able to fit into the trunk of my 2016 jeep renegade?

My table top measures a fraction more than 30" in length and about 18-1/2" in width. The 2016 Jeep Renegade specs have the cargo box width at the wheel housings as 37".

Is the table height adjustable or fixed at 40 inches? Thanks.

Table height is fixed as delivered. I needed it lower for my dogs (GCh bloodhounds), so I used a pipe-cutter to shorten each leg by 9". Perfect for my purposes now. Only took about 10 minutes total time for the modification.
